OVERKILL’S THE WALKING DEAD KICKS OFF SEASON TWO ON STEAM
“No Sanctuary,” the first episode of the next big season of content, adds a new full-length mission, improved tutorial onboarding, in-game voice chat and more
New Starter Edition, featuring full first season of content, now available for $29.99
STOCKHOLM – Nov. 29, 2018 – Starbreeze, Skybound Entertainment and 505 Games have announced the start of season two of OVERKILL’S The Walking Dead on Windows PC via Steam. Included for all players who own the standard and deluxe editions of the co-op multiplayer action game, this first major content update introduces a new full-length story mission, improved tutorial support for newcomers and the highly requested addition of in-game voice chat.
Season two picks up with the main group of survivors facing new challenges in the aftermath of season one’s finale, including a powerful new enemy fortified on Washington, D.C.’s historic Capitol Hill. The first episode – “No Sanctuary” – sees players stage a daring raid on a Georgetown church to rescue a potentially life-saving informant. Season two will feature nine episodes from November 2018 to June 2019, containing new missions, playable characters, weapons, mods and other surprises along the way.
OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead has also been updated with new features driven by player feedback since the game’s launch earlier this month. In-game voice chat is now supported within Steam, enabling players to better communicate and coordinate with each other. A new video tutorial available in game – “The Survival Guide” – offers first-time players a more robust introduction to the game’s core mechanics with helpful advice for staying alive. Finally, restructured files will help the development team continue updating the game with new content and improvements at a quick and reliable pace.
Inspired by Robert Kirkman’s original graphic novels and developed by OVERKILL – A Starbreeze Studio, OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a four-player co-op shooter where players must band together on a variety of missions to find survivors, secure supplies and survive. Use stealth to evade enemies tactically, or dismember walkers limb from limb with brute force and firepower. Each of the game’s playable characters has their own special abilities, skill trees, squad roles, play styles and background stories.
Both OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead standard edition and OVERKILL’S The Walking Dead Deluxe Edition, containing the full game, its first and second seasons of content, the Night Raid Collection cosmetic DLC, a digital artbook, and the game’s digital soundtrack, are available now via Steam. The newly added OVERKILL’S The Walking Dead Starter Edition is available now for $29.99 and features the game’s full first season, with season two and onward content available for purchase via Steam. OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead will arrive on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One around the world in February 2019. Console pre-orders are available now digitally and at most major retailers.
OVERKILL’S The Walking Dead is rated M (Mature) by the ESRB and PEGI 18. For more information, visit OVERKILL’S The Walking Dead on Steam, https://www.overkillsthewalkingdead.com, and follow the game on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram with #OTWD.

Sandbox Strategies for Starbreeze
I payed for the ENTIRE SEASON 2 CONTENT
developer said it is all ready for release but you you F%^^^ dont allow them to release it. I WANT WHAT I PAID FOR RELEASED so you better contact Overkill and tell them they can give people what they paid for or this will go to court
If you not deliver our product we should get the money back. We paid for season 2 content, which was not fully delivered.
I’m another person who paid for the entirety of season 2 and the actions of Skybound meant they took my money and I only got part of what I paid for. Either give permission for the content people bought to be released or offer full refunds to everyone foolish enough to give you their money.
paid 70$ for the season 1 and two, the game is dead now.. can we at least get the season 2 ?
Please finished your game.
This is important for the community
Skybound blocked Starbreeze from releasing finished content that fans of Overkills The Walking Dead paid for!!! This is bullshit! We already paid for season two content and Overkill finished the content. Please let us have it! This is a very poor business practice on behalf of Skybound!!!
If you let Starbreeze release the finished content for the game you could possibly get some good PR out of it. like it would generate some free publicity for you in a good positive way for the company instead of always being remembered as the dirty rotten sneaky bastards you became with how you handled the OTWD game. You could become the nice guy’s that made people happy.
I demand season 2 I paid for
I want to play Season 2 and see the game back on Steam and console versions finished
Bruh, just give Starbreeze a 2nd chance continuing this game, giving it updates. You could get sooooo much money by just putting it on steam for less money.
Please let Overkill release the rest of season 2. I paid for season 2 and I didn’t get what I paid for. Skybound robbed us. I love this game, and I want my money’s worth.
Please finished your game. payed for the ENTIRE SEASON 2 CONTENT.
The owners of Overkill’s The Walking Dead deserve the content they have paid for when purchasing your product.
Please allow Starbreeze Studios to release the remaining Season 2 content to the game, allowing the players to get their money’s worth.
I’m am ready for buying this game. Just bring it back on steam
What you did was unfair for anyone who bought the original or Deluxe edition, you could at least bring it back but not allow any work done for it, like with Friday the 13th game. Let Overkill release the patch that was done.
Bring this back, you got my purchase if you do so soon and with the same regional Argentina price as before, or a little more, even.
Give us what we paid for. Release season 2 or give everybody refunds!!
Where is the harm in letting the people that paid for the Season 2 content get what they paid for.
Just let overkill release the patches so we can get what we paid for.
I know there aren’t that many players still playing OTWD (20-30 people maybe), but if there are still people playing it, it’s because the game isn’t not as bad as what we see, really.
If the game was that bad, players wouldn’t insist on having Season 2 in full, they would have either moved on or already asked for a refund on Steam.
I know there will never be a resumption of game development, but we ask that you at least let Overkill release the latest update.
There is absolutely no reason not to allow us to play the finished content that we’ve already paid for.
i demand justice for overkill and player base who paid for entire season 2. it’s ready, don’t be a douche and let them update the game.
Please finish the game !!!!
I paid so much for this. People OBVIOUSLY LOVE THIS GAME … does that even matter to you ????
Finish the game for the people who PAID you 1 and then take some pride in the game you made for the gamers who loved the vision for this game!
come on now. Where is the work ethic??
Hey can we get the promised season 2 or if you are incapable of delivering what you promised at least a refund.
Give me the Season 2 Content that I paid for….
“Alright guys, listen up: We got an opportunity here to make a big score. There’s a game development with some big money funds. We’re already playing middleman making a shady deal with some big corporation. They’re trying to sell “games as a service” by teasing them a server with upcoming data. We’ll drop in and work undercover, and snatch both development funds and the IP rights while we’re at it. You won’t need a drill for this job…”
> Planned DLC for Payday 3: Operation Skybound.
(Note: This is just satire… Hopefully?)
I want season 2 of overkills the walking dead because i payed for the two seasons of overkills the walking dead…. Overkill finished the content and also got all patches so the game might be fine or even good now… Please bring it back… it had so much potential… the people behind it seem to care about their games because they always improved it… I want to get what i payed for!
Please let Overkill release the rest of season 2.
I got the game I paid for but you had to go and pull it!
At least let us play the rest of season 2!
For me, you have destroyed this once great franchise. By not letting me play the full content that I paid for you have betrayed me.
I expect a reply and a good explanation why I can not get the full content that I paid for.
I really liked the game and hate how I paid for the deluxe version just for only half of the content to be delivered. pls release.
was the whole game a scam ? paid full price for half of a game , i want to play the finished product
its 2021, where is overkills the walking dead? I paid money for it and you pull the plug shortly after release and think we’ll forget about it? Im done with skybound forever, not buying anything from skybound ever again and I’ll convince all my friends to do the same, you lost a lifelong customer.
Kirkman you goddamn bastard, you owe me money for a product i pay in full but ended not getting as ordered. An absolute joke not letting Starbreeze finish the game everybody paid for, claiming it’s lacking in quality but at the same time unironically producing shit The Walking Dead Season 2-11 or even worse TWD:World Beyond. This guys knows no shame.
Skybound: Overkills the Walking Dead game does not live up to our standards.
Also Skybound: Proceeds to dish out multiple low effort cashgrab VR TWD titles that are far worse than this.
Now seriously… I pre-ordered Overkill’s the Walking Dead Deluxe Edition day 1, game is fine and extremely fun to play. Just give us the season 2 content we PAID full price for. Thanks.
I like how robert kirkman sat on the couch with the devs, and was praising the game on how good it was to get people to buy it, only to then cancel it because it was not up to their standarts ????????????? helloooooo ?????? u praised the game on how good it was, how was it not up to your fancy pants standarts after release huh? it was just to get people to spend their money so u could then run away with it wasn’t it ? idiots
Give me season 2 please. Great game that we got robbed of.
