We have some big news and updates to share today about Skullgirls 2nd Encore.
First up, we are pumped to let you know that Skullgirls 2nd Encore will be coming to Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop on October 22nd!
We want to thank everyone that has waited patiently for the Switch release. We can’t wait for you to get your hands on it (and we’re looking forward to playing it right along with you).
For those of you that ordered the Limited Edition Skullgirls 2nd Encore Pack via Skybound.com earlier this year, keep your eyes on your email for a direct message with a digital download code for the Nintendo eShop to play on Switch. Be sure to check your spam/junk email folder, too!
Lastly, while we were thrilled to share with fans earlier this year that Skybound would be bringing Skullgirls 2nd Encore to Switch AND Xbox One, we are sad to say that the Xbox One version has been postponed indefinitely due to unforeseen development and production challenges. We know this news is a huge disappointment to many fans, and we share that feeling with you. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Thank you to all of you for sticking with us and Skullgirls!
I was really looking forward to the Xbox One Version. Wish you would’ve updated us on the situation sooner rather than trying to hide it.

I have to say I’m disgusted that you’ve cancelled the Xbox One version after we waited all this time.
The only “unforeseen development and production challenges.” are that you can’t be bothered.
It’s easier to port PS4 to Xbox than Switch, yet you ported it to Switch.
Save your lies for people who care, lost all faith in this company now.
This isn’t Skybound’s fault, the devs are Lab Zero, shout at them.
It said on the email that the code will be a paper insert in the box, not via email!
so the xbox port is just abandoned
