How are they going to be able to be on a boat for more than one episode?
They have to get to the boat! There might be other survivors with the same idea!
Episode 6 is the only decent episode so far. I really object to the way they keep bashing the U.S. military. Typical.
in what way are they bashing the military?
in a time of severe crisis like this or a state of emergency, martial law would be instilled and it wouldn’t be some guy smiling at you asking you kindly to move along. They would take over and tell us what to do, and we would not be given information. that’s just how it would be. just because there are a couple independent douches in the show’s military doesn’t mean they are bashing… they haven’t said anything negative about the military actually.
They did show many military men refusing to continue doing what they were doing. I think it is an accurate portrayal of what would happen. No one was abused but it wasn’t all nice either. If martial law is declared, that means its pretty bad already.
The concept of an enclosed setting and constant tension and discord between people seems like a promising idea. It would set a good horror vibe, and since everyone knows that they will all turn after death now, they will have to avoid anyone dying on the boat. Really good dramatic material. Unfortunately, the stupid masses wants lots of killing and action, and an idea like this probably won’t do well. Tension and slow pacing are excellent, but now audiences have been dumbed down, and only enjoy something if it has as much action as a Michael Bay flick. Funny how the zombies are a perfect metaphor for modern media consumers: mindless animals who only care about violence, blood, and gore, with no real meaning. I enjoy violence and gore, but only as a part of a gripping story. The complex characters and storytelling is what truly separates The Walking Dead from the thousands of other zombie movies and shows released yearly. People care about Rick’s group, and want to see what happens to them next. Violence and gore happening constantly for the sake of violence and gore, makes for stupid and meaningless entertainment.
Travis probably attracted a herd when he shot Liza. They haven’t figured that part out yet. They aren’t going to make it to the boat.
We haven’t seen the last of the good doctor yet either! She is going to have something to do with Jenner in season 2.
