This Katana should already be totally blunt and rusted. Nonsense.

A blade can be sharpened and with care and a little oil or grease (even animal fat) rust can be prevented.

lol, you’re the one talking nonsense her. It’s not that hard to keep a sword sharp and clean. And it’s likely stainless steel.

      • Antônio Amarante says:

Ok, maybe not rust or blunt. But it should be really chipped. It slices through BONES like it’s butter, for god’s sake. And if the blade chips, how will Michonne repair it?
I think it’s a very good weapon, but without the means to repair it, it would not last this long.

That’s what good swords do. You can find good weapons from hundreds of years ago that are still in good condition.
And those bones are rotted. She’s not hacking away at plate armour.

We can have swords from hundreds of years in good conditions, but they were not used throughout these centuries. I mean, she uses it very often.
But ok, that’s not the point here. It’s a cool weapon and Michonne is the coolest character so far, and I do not intend to spoil the fun here. ^^

Second half of the season kicked off in Feb. & the article says “as of 3/9/14”. One of the sites noted at the bottom of the chart is “walkingdead.wikia”. If I’m not mistaken, anyone can create/modify that info.

          • Stuart Ormston says:

oh yeah missed that 🙂 and the date confused me, in the UK 3/9/14 reads 3rd September 2014, which in my head mead it was up to date till the start of the next season.

Finished chapter 7 last night, am getting in to it now, I think it was Jason that said it took him a bit to get used to the writing style but once he did he really took to them, and I know what he means, but am really enjoying them at the moment. it taking me about two days to get through a chapter mind, so slow progress, but you know what its like with a busy family life.

IMO it’s a matter of taste, context, (where one come from?), what shape etc. Yes, a crossbows often traditionally shoot bolts like the ones in the picture. But the ones Daryl uses can just as well be called crossbow-arrows IMO. Lean, mean with three fletchings and a target point. Though I have no trouble if anyone call them bolts. Guess that in a real world zombie scenario a more traditional bolt-like projectile, which by one purpose was to penetrate armor, could be more efficient tool then the lean things Darryl uses. Then again it seems like he uses it just as much for hunting as defending. As such the more arrow like ones are likely preferable. Durin III could likely even use them with a bow. One fun fact is that another name for crossbow bolts are quarrel. As such the discussion on the topic is named to be doomed.
