In a fairly unsurprising announcement today, AMC renewed The Talking Dead for another season. This means you can continue to feed your Walking Dead addiction after the show ends each Sunday. AMC also announced that Breaking Bad will get its own similar discussion show, Talking Bad, which we’re pumped for as well. Now if they can just do one for Mad Men so I understand all the symbolism that would be greaaaaat. In place of that I’ll continue to watch this GIF for 30 minutes after every episode:

Hooray for the renewal of the Talking Dead! Love the show, the insights, the glimpses of the actors personalities! Helps me unwind afterward. Think you guys missed something about Carl in the seas. finale though. Sure the kid needs some guidance, he needs to not lose his humanity, and I think taking in the Woodbury group is going to be just what he needs. But he seriously made the right call in the woods there. If you are running for your life and you run into two guns and voices telling you to drop your gun, you put the gun down, hands up and beg not to be shot. That kid had no plans to surrender. That little eye movement where he glanced at Hershall while trying to hand his gun to Carl, says to me he was calculating his chances on jerking “the kid” off balance and grabbing him to use as a human shield against Hershall. It would have just gone downhill from there.
