The Walking Dead issue #156 is OUT, and hopefully you’ve read it, cut the pages out, framed them, wrapped them in little tidy packages, given them as gifts, changed your mind, asked for them back, and re-assembled them into some of negatively CGC-graded Frankenbook. That almost certainly being the case, let us know what you thought down below! We’ll be awarding our favorite comment with… well, something! Something goooood. Maybe we have a sample of an SDCC item lying around somewhere…

Also, guys, if you leave an awesome comment, come back to see if you’ve won or at least check your email’s spam filter to see if we emailed you!

PREVIOUSLY: Andrea addresses Rick with concerns over his new leadership direction. Dwight’s military rushes to Michonne’s aid against Beta, allowing her to ride off to Hilltop to get Aaron life-saving medical care. Alpha allows Negan into her camp, but Beta isn’t as sure of his trustworthiness.

Killing off Alpha so prematurely and in such a pathetic way was disappointing to me Kirkman, I’m sorry. She was a fascinating character and I loved the fact that the comic finally had its first female big bad. Issue 144 had solidified her as my favorite big bad yet, seeing those heads lined up on the row of spikes gave me the impression that she was this cold, calculating force to be reckoned with. She wasn’t just one of those one-dimensional mustache-twirling villains though because her philosophy was realistic and understandable, plus the entire relationship with Lydia showed us who she really was deep down inside: a mother was trying to protect her young at all costs.
To throw all of that away and suddenly relegate her to this naive damsel in distress who opens her heart to some random schmoe days after meeting him just didn’t gel with me. Especially considering how much future story potential there was with her.

I have to disagree entirely. I’m so glad she’s dead. Her philosophy was NEVER understandable. The shit she spouted off sounded like a 14 year old trying way too hard to be edgy and “realistic.” And if anything, her relationship with Lydia defies your impression. She’s not some cold calculating evil robot. She’s just a pretender.
She was always unstable, her philosophy was survivalist nonsense garbage, and it was easy to see she didn’t even buy it herself.

And while it might seem naive, a lot of the times people DO confide in strangers and newcomers rather than their familiar. New people give new perspectives and haven’t had time to form an idea about you that you have to stick to. Sometimes a stranger’s advice is exactly what someone needs to hear because it’s from an unbiased source.

I think It is harsh to say it was never understandable. It is dogmatic and cult like but it is possible to imagine how someone may have accepted it. It isn’t total nonsense albeit angsty or almost brooding just extreme like other belief systems.

I can see the basis in the idea that “we’re animals” but when you let other people die or get raped because they’re “not strong enough” you deny that person’s right to prove themselves later. When you do that, I think you’re too far gone.

    • consumereview says:

I think she was sent away in this manner to really solidify Negan as the Biggest and Baddest in the game. If she was a “big bad” how could Negan dispatch of her so readily? My full thoughts can be found here: http://consumereviewrepeat.com/2016/07/08/the-walking-dead-156/

Exactly, she was built up to be such a great villain and I couldn’t wait to see her lead the war. I get that Kirkman wanted to shake up the usual format but if it was at the cost of throwing away a promising character I would’ve rather he left well enough alone.
My hope was that eventually, in true Shakespearean style, Lydia would’ve been the one to ultimately kill Alpha, making her mother her first and only human kill, the woman who had been trying to awaken her to the primal nature of the world for years. It would’ve been an epic case of karma and suited both of their arcs perfectly.

Well, several months ago I said that the cover appeared to have Negan stabbing Alpha. While I;m not surprised he killed her, it did surprise me when it happened.
    Negan lovers take note…
I honestly thought that Negan’s monologue was a revealing look at him at a deeper level. It was the monologue of a tortured man. One who, as he put it, is just there. It was a very moving speech, which indeed reduced Alpha to tears, and for a moment made me care about Negan as a character.
And then of course he killed Alpha. And that one little moment disappeared. And all that character building about Negan reiterates one fact. Negan is Negan. He is a sociopathic narcissist that cares about one thing only. Negan. Contrary to what he said, everything he does is not for the greater good. It is for his own self interest and survival.
This was a calculated move. Negan knew that the whisperers did not stand a chance against Rick and his combined allies and their weapondry. The Whisperers would be slaughtered. No way in hell Negan would stick with them or try to lead them to a battle that could not be won.
Negan’s arrogance may backfire for him and hurt Rick. However, as it may backfire, there is a chance it may help him. The ramifications of his actions will be swift and severe. Beta is the new Alpha. Unless of course prior to that Negan kills beta and does take over.
If he does make it back to Rick, he will have done so starting a war. Beta will be vindicated in his assessment that Negan was “one of them” and could not be trusted.
Interestingly enough, Negan is still trying to please Rick. He’s still trying to gain his trust. I feel though, he doesn’t need to. All he has to do is show Alpha’s head to the groups that are already at odds with Rick. They see Negan as having avenged their loved ones. Negan could be vindicated.
Is this enough to overthrow Rick? Who knows. But it won’t be good. Negan has made things much more complicated.
And I love it. As much as I despise him. He is by far the most intriguing character in this story, or any other I’ve read. He is in many ways complex. His code about rape proves as much. But just as he is complex, at the base level, he is Negan. A simple man out for his own survival.

Also, I think Dwight declared war with his assault over enemy lines, Negan just upgraded it to holy war.

This issue solidified my love of Negan as a character. As much as Alpha’s death was abrupt I didn’t mind. I love Negan now too much to care even about the missed story oppurtunities of losing alpha. I can’t wait to see Negan interact with Carl again. Right now I am most interested in how Lydia reacts to her mother’s death and how carl reacts to Negan killing his girlfriend’s mom. Maybe Lydia will seek revenge or maybe she even blames Carl for what happens and loses trust in him. Also I am wondering how Negan will bring the head with him to show Rick. I can’t get past the fact that Alpha was bald so he can’t hold the head by her hair like you always see in the movies.

Wow! What an awesome issue! I was also one of the people who initially thought that when this cover image was released that it looked like Negan was stabbing Alpha, not embracing her. But even so, I was still surprised and caught off guard when it happened. It just goes to show how good the writing is in this book that the seemingly obvious can still surprise and shock. I was certain this cover was just a bluff or a tease for what was to come later on, but boy was I wrong!
Plus this issue pretty much only focused on two people having a series of conversations, and I was more drawn into than any other book in recent memory since it was revealed the talking walkers were actually skin wearing people. Normally I’m more fond of the issues with more fast paced action, but the writing here in this one kept me locked in from the first page.
I’m really doing a terrible job explaining how much I loved this issue. Such an awesome setup for the Whisperer War! I can’t wait for next month.

Bets will get mad and unleash hell. I feel that Beta loved Alpha and will want to avenge her and wear Negan’s skin. Sure, it’s bad she’s gone, but she wasn’t strong. She would hardly attack Rick and the whole community, because of her daughter. However, Beta (now Alpha) won’t hesitate.

I’m pretty mad Alpha got killed off. Remember how badass and cocky she was in Life and Death? I was so ready to watch her tear down Rick’s community. Turns out Rick was wrong. Alpha wasn’t on a power trip really. She didn’t seem to enjoy being leader. I really wish they continued with the darker side of Alpha that Rick saw. But once Negan started heading her way it really was inevitable. So who leads the Whisperers now? Negan? Beta? Beta is one dimensional as hell so its really Rick vs. Negan at this point. How much will Rick lose and how much advantage can Negan get to wheel and deal his way to the top. I guess the reason I liked Alpha so much was that they’ve done so much to make Rick seem like the incarnation of civilization and she felt like the anti-Rick in a totally fresh way, just like Negan is a great anti-Rick because he’s a leader who does what it takes but he’s an evil self-serving son of a bitch. I get that this was Negan’s chance to wheel and deal his way back to the top, but it felt like Alpha died before she really got to do her thing, I mean she never even fired that shotgun!

Phenomenal issue. The backstory Negan has been getting these last months is insane. The guy has so much more than it seems. When we were introduced to Negan, I thought “Ok, another stereotypical villain which threatens the group and stuff and thangs”. But as time progressed, you could see he had much more on the inside. And that had never been clearer to me than these last few months.
      .
I loved how quickly it took the Whisperers to realize that Negan was a force not to be fucked with. His uprising on the skin-wearing-maniacs was terrifying. He soon was one important individual. And Alpha started trusting him. That was the BIGGEST mistake. Ever.

      .
Like my buddy Sean said, Negan is Negan. What I think is really interesting is how he doesn’t feel no emotions, but defended that women that was going to be raped. And that’s the thing that I don’t understand. He doesn’t feel. He doesn’t care. He killed people without no hesitation. But why does he defend a girl he doesn’t even know? Here’s what I think…
      .
Negan respects Rick. After AOW, Negan understood how Rick thinks. And he wants to help him. He could have easily killed the Alexandrians. Twice. But he didn’t. He wants to rebuild civilization. And he wants to be there when it happens. And rape doesn’t exist in the old ways. The old ways is were the strong protect the weak and that’s why Negan tried to protect the girl. That’s why he wants Rick’s trust. And that’s why he killed Alpha. Or not…
      .
There are sooooo many ways to look at Negan. He is a smart, cold, calculated thinker. He is a psychopath. He is a natural born leader. I could go on and on and on. Maybe he wants his revenge on Rick. After all, he trusted him and got his throat slashed. Maybe he wants his revenge karma style, by getting Rick’s trust just to do the same. Or maybe he just NEEDS to be on power to live, so he killed Alpha to become the Alpha. Maybe he just lost so much that he wants to see the world burns and turn into chaos. Maybe he is like Rick said a long time ago, someone who is walking dead. He doesn’t feel. He just survives. There are so many ways to look at this that there are no rights or wrongs. There is no right definition. Sean couldn’t have said it better. Negan IS Negan.

Wow such a crazy issue and completely shocked by the time I was done reading 156. I have a little theory about what happens next. Alright here I go. Negan killed alpha and cut off her head but why? He wants to frame Ricks people and make the whispers think that Ricks people killed there leader alpha. This event will lead to the whisper war. Negan wants revenge on Rick for keeping him in that jail cell for 2 years! He wants WAR!!!! Negan will literally do anything to get back at Rick for what he did to him and a war would be perfect. Excited to see how all this plays out!

Alpha’s dead! Her relationship with Lydia (her daughter) goes against our impression. She just pretends to be something she’s not. Although she was always unstable, her philosophy was different. She didn’t seem to enjoy being a leader. A leader went through hard decisions and pain. The sad truth is the pain doesn’t go away but you just have to make room for it. She wants to feel love but doesn’t show it. Negan stabs her instead of embracing her. He kills her and chops her head off… Whisper war to come. But it won’t be quiet. The wall of darkness has been thrown but how will they tear it down?

I love this comic. Although I am sad to see Alpha die this soon, it really shook up this whisperer war. I can’t wait to see how Alpha Mctwoknives runs the whisperers. I’m so glad that Kirkman didn’t kill Negan at the end of AOW. I’m curious to see if Negan tries to take over the communities. I really think that he likes Rick. If nothing else he respects him. He doesn’t support rape or senseless murder. Just like he says he does everything for the greater good. I think that he really wants to rebuild civilization with Rick and that there will be an even bigger villain after the whisperers are defeated. Also how can the communities actually kill all the whisperers. I can understand them being defeated, but there has to be at least 200 of them. All in all an incredible issue, I can’t wait for The Whisperer war.

How did I let myself get surprised by that ending? You would think that Negan would at least have sex with her before cutting her head off (and I do not want to even consider what he may do with it before showing it off to Rick and co.). I think that it may have been rushed and that they could have had Negan and Alpha’s relationship develop over one more issue, but I am set for another war.

Hey I love that you killed Alpha. She was great but it was starting to feel like great characters are too safe (TV show too, before finale). I always liked that no one was safe and this month’s issue was fantastic. I thought either Negan was a joiner or that Negan was going to challenge and kill Alpha to take over as leader. The final page, an option C that I didn’t see coming, was a nice break from something predictable.
What’s Negan’s motivation? Is he really helping Rick? I can’t wait to see more.

    First of all,
    .
    RIP Alpha Issue #132-156
    “The Beheader… gets Beheaded”
    .
Wow. What can I say about this issue? I honestly don’t know. But what i can definitely say about Negan is that he is the most cleverest motherfucker I’ve ever known.
    .
This guy had a chance to escape from Alexandria when his cell door opened back in Issue #140-141, but he didn’t go because he wanted to get Rick’s trust. And he didn’t get it. Not even a bit. Then, he got ANOTHER chance of freedom; from the little piece shit named Brandon. Did he take it? YES. But what came of it was the most elaborate plan I’ve ever seen. Thanks to Robert Kirkman.
    .
Robert Kirkman’s a genius. He fools us into thinking “Negan’s gonna take down Rick” and “Negan’s in love with Alpha and they’ll be co-leaders of the Whisperers to take down what Rick’s built”, but nope. He’s made us drift into a whole new direction than into the one that we thought we were going into. It’s kinda like eating Hot Cheetos and thinking they’re too hot for you to like but now they’re your #1 favorite snack ever.
    .
Negan escaped on the behalf of doing what Brandon did; inform the Whisperers and destroy Rick’s communities. Negan stopped that from happening, or at least stop some teenage boy from doing that. Then, he pretends to be alone and join the Whisperers and gain their trust. Not only that, he went in and faked being in love/attached to Alpha in order to gain HER trust. Not the leader-type, but the EMOTIONAL kind of trust. Negan’s that fucking seductive and I LOVE it. In a matter of days, Negan was proving himself as a Whisperer and showing that he’s a macho man to get Alpha attracted. But not to get “with” her. No, sir. He went in, swooped her and KILLED her. And for what? Oh, yeah…
    .
    RICK’S TRUST.
    .
Jesus, that’s great. He decided to gain Rick’s trust in a whole other way that wasn’t just “Hey, if I water your garden, my sentence will go down, right?” Negan risked all that he could to be able to live a much better life, but not just for his own. I assume that it was also for all of the people in Alexandria, Hilltop, Sanctuary, and the Kingdom. He took down someone who was feared by all; someone who took down 12 members of the Communities that had a role in the betterment of society, and Negan just avenged those people and saved any worse impending doom on the Communities.
    .
Now, was it worth it to kill a kid (Brandon) and indirectly lead to someone who’s trying to find them just to get stabbed and lose blood (Aaron)? Almost not really. I feel like Negan’s thinking is different than how Alexandria’s “pre-Rick” stage was when it was just “Protect the many, fuck the few” during Construction and other events. They didn’t have much of a reason than to just survive, but Negan’s taking his mindset of gaining Rick’s trust to probably even help the Communities even more.
    .
Then again, could Negan just be doing all of this so he can get the communities’ favor and replace Rick and go back to the old days? Perhaps! (Damn you, Kirkman!)
    .
Anyway, that was my input on the issue and Negan’s thinking. Oh, that fucker.
    .

What a great issue. Perfectly showcased the complexity of Negan. insane sociopath and sexual protector.
I think in no way is he trying to get Rick’s trust. This will be used to destroy his power.
I can also see Dwight in confrontation with Negan and Negan taking back Lucille and killing him witth it.

I hope you’re right. I hate the thought that he’s working so hard to impress Rick. That’s kind of sad, in my opinion. It makes him sound kind of pitiful to me. I do think you’re right, too. I don’t think this is about Rock’s trust. I think he might be getting more dangerous than ever. He was influencing things right from his cell. He knows a lot of the problems in Alexandria and weaknesses of Rick. He knows much more than he should about all of the current situations. That may not be safe for the other survivors.

If he’s trying to gain Rick’s trust, it’s only to flip it & use it against him. But I think he’d rather go for gaining the Alexandria community’s trust so that he could do greater damage.

I still wonder if Rick’s in on it.
    * Rick was obviously thinking about how to utilise Negan in #151.
    * We don’t know exactly what Rick told Andrea about Negan at the end of their last conversation – did he just say “Negan’s escaped” or did he say “I’ve got a plan”?
    * We haven’t seen Jesus in a long time — why were Michonne and Aaron dispatched to the whisperers rather than Michonne and Jesus? Because Jesus was busy tailing Negan like he tailed Dwight in #103?
    * Negan’s asked previously “who do you want me to kill?” What if Rick thought it was time to take him up on the offer?
    * Brandon’s role is the most difficult to square. Although it seems like relying on Brandon spring Negan is a very complicated plan, I wonder if it could have all been set up – all it would need is a conversation in earshot of the kid to plant the seed. Rick met with Brandon alone and threatened to kill him which puts the obvious question out there: who would want to kill Rick?
Either way, the issue is amazing — possibly my favourite since #113. Can’t wait to see where this goes next.

I was thinking about this, too. But it doesn’t seem to be planned. Brandon was almost killed by Rick, he was lucky that Michonne showed up and stopped it. Next, if it really was Rick’s and Negan’s plan, it means that Rick was willing to sacrifice Negan’s pursuers, including his best friend Michonne. As we know, Aaron almost died (and perhaps will die), and Michonne was saved at the last moment. Has Rick really gone that far? I hope that he hasn’t.
Negan is simply playing his own game. He’s more dangerous than ever before. He is a natural leader. Rick and Dwight won’t be safe. Andrea and Maggie won’t allow Negan to be vindicated and accepted into the community. This situation is going to have severe consequences for everybody.

I’m not sure who was the most insane psycho, the govenor,Garreth, or this Alpha woman. Anyone who would allow any man who wants to, rape their own daughter is more than insane. I don’t think anyone has come up with a word to describe this insanity. Her followers are as insane as she is. To cover yourself with the blood & guts of a walker is a clever way to walk among them and stay alive. Wearing the skin of the deceased is worse than Dr. Frankenstein. Negan has done some nasty things, but he still has a sense of integrity about him. When he first captured Rick and the group, he could have killed them all. He didn’t.
Instead of cutting Alpha’s throat, he should have introduced her to Lucille. Hit her enough to hurt, but not to kill so he can prolong her pain until there is nothing left but a pile of flesh & blood.

Very awesome issue. I love it when a comic can go from strictly conversation blah blah blah to “Wait, WTF just happened ??”.
I speculated awhile ago like others did that Negan would altimately kill Alpha. Not that I wanted him to, I loved her spockish demeanor. But Negan is too strong a character to lose power to someone else.
That being said, would he really bring her head to Rick as a peace/loyalty/love offering? I don’t think so. What is in it for him then? I would think he would like to mount her head on a pole, facing the Whisperer camp to lead them to believe that Rick’s group planned to kill Alpha as an act of all out war, and used Negan as their emissary. You just know Beta will be freaking out when he sees that and Big Time War will begin. Then Negan can either sit back with little Negan in his fist and watch both sides battle it out, then ride off into the sunset with any groupies he might have. Or he could move into one or the other groups and change the political system to a Neganalism.

Ever since her first appearance I was so intrigued by her character. I thought that if AMC decided to go with this arc after ALL Out War, Alpha would require amazing casting. I’ve been racking my brains trying to think of actresses that could pull off such an amazing role but once I thought of who I believed to be the “right” choice, my mind was made up. I believe that Lena Headey, the actress behind the amazing Cersei Lannister, would be the most perfect casting choice for Alpha although I’d love to hear other suggestions.

He holds her hands and looks deep in her eyes. He whispers (pun intended) “I will slit your throat now”. And my brain started boiling to a point it was ready to be served as a dish to a classy walker (in excitement and surprise).
Now back to the story. Negan is the coolest character that I have ever encountered and he proves again why. In all his comedic “not giving a fuck” ways and with all the bullshit that he spews (well maybe not about the rape ideology of his but all the rest for sure), this man is pure evil. He is Satan’s spawn, made me feel like I am looking into the psychy of Al Pacino in the Devil’s Advocate.
Story wise I didn’t get enough to predict, the doors are still wide open for almost every storyline anyone on the Internet is suggesting. However, I still believe that Negan is the Magento to Rick’s professor X. Not in everything, just in that one simple idea of no one will kill you, EXCEPT ME! and I believe he will if Kirkman has the balls to kill Rick off somewhere in the next 50 to a 100 comics. Man I am excited for whatever this universe throws at me.

The cover of #157 now suggests to me that Negan displays the severed head of Alpha to the Alexandrians, the gasping back in horror could be from such a display. I think Rick’s face may also reveal so, the anger is unsettling. I think Negan has created the Whispered War without being on either side.

In some deranged way I think he’s trying to prove to Rick which one of them is “right” in their style of rule and who should be in charge. And oddly, he may win some people over by bringing back the head of their nightmares. You know, the one Negan helped Rick magnify with the graffiti and shit?
I mean we know Rick is the better leader because he’s a united not a divider… Of the skull and brains of some Asian kid. His first instinct is to reform a working society based on trade, mutual respect, and protecting the weak. Negan’s is to set up a grand protection racket.
But as the world continues to change and they are building, rather than living on the scraps of what all of us fat internet dwellers left behind before trying to eat them, Negan may be able to peel off some knuckle-draggers to follow him.

What is with the OJ Simpson slashing? You just needed another Whisper there to reenact the murders.
Why does Negan feel he has to prove himself to Rick. He is a freeman and from the last few days with the whispers, they were not going to attack ASZ.

NOBODY SHOULD BE SURPRISED RIGHT NOW THAT NEGAN WAS NEGAN. Don’t get me wrong…the writing in this issue was really freakin’ good. It made me, as well as many others apparently, believe that Negan may be molding himself to adapt to a new lifestyle. He even gave us a moment of “holy shit…this poor guy”…forgetting the fact that he bashed Glenn’s head in. How good does the writing have to be to accomplish that?! That’s why I read this book! The characters are soooo fucking well written! And that’s why Negan is such a likable bad guy. He is so unique….there is not another bad guy in any story out there like him. And I love that all his motivations revolve around Rick.
But as I said, we should not be surprised. Negan gave us a glimpse of someone else, and then he did WHAT HE ALWAYS DOES….he slit your fucking throat with a smile on his face.

Not the case this week… Let’s just say that the Hammock was no longer right side up by the end of this issue! Shocked & in true TWD style AMAZED! Loved it! This may be way off, but I personally think Negan may impale Alpha’s head on a spike & parade it into Alexandria for all the people to see! You know the Alexandrians would be pumped seeing that Negan had taken out their tormentor & maybe even cause a stir up as to why he did it before Rick.. Plus it was cause Rick & the people of Alexandria to at least contemplate the trust situation… But maybe that’s just wishful thinking, God help Dwight if Negan sets his sites on getting Lucille back!

Negan showed that personality so cunning but especially strong, that personality that jumps when its principles were seen mangled by others. In my opinion, the end of Alpha was great because she was killed by someone who believes that the fucked up world still has salvation is still possible to reconstruct and to do … must kill the beasts and let humans. .. what I mean: Negan eventually realized that the group of whisperers were no more than animals, sought Negan humans and they were not … no .. I think it made sense.

I liked that part where you say, Negan wanted to join humans, not animals, because Negan is Negan you know, but I think deep inside there is a broken human being who really wants to rebuild civilization although with very twisted and pervert ways, and he did not find that with the whisperers, it was not the group he would join to lead, he simply did not belong there.

My prediction now is that Negan will come back to lead The Saviors, who else can do it?, but now this time with new ways and new rules, and working together with Rick and co., fighting the whisperers together since both Rick and Negan despise their ways, so this will be cool to see Rick and Negan not as friends or allies but as partners against one common eneny to destroy, this gives the story a refresh after 156 issues, and a very unpredictable future now, many loose ends to tie yet, for example: Will Beta become the real evil to know and Alpha was just a front? Did Negan kill Alpha on purpose so the whisperers would attack Alexandria and Rick? What would be the reaction of Maggie after realizing Negan escaped? Would Rick’s authority be challenged by the Alexandrians for not going after Alpha after the issue 144 massacre? Would Negan be vindicated and become the new leader of the network of communities? Many questions and predictions to come, this gets better and better with every issue, thanks Kirkman, a monster!!!

They were pretty cheap for a signed comic and especially for how important the events inside were. Sadly, I only was able to buy one, but maybe some people are going to resell them on eBay and hopefully you can buy one!

Honestly, I think I know exactly how this will play out. I knew Alpha would be killed by Negan, Negan is not one to follow orders. What I believe is going to happen is that Negan will present the head to Rick AND ALL OF ALEXANDRIA. This is cause more chaos not only because the people see Rick doing very little while Negan went out and murdered the leader. I am unsure of what the people will do (if I am correct), but I believe it will make the entire situation even harder for Rick with the Whisperers when they do come to find Rick because that is exactly what they will do.
I think the interesting part of the comic, besides seeing Alpha getting her head slashed off, was seeing the relationship between Alpha and Beta and the obvious feelings Beta has for Alpha. Once Beta saw Negan as a threat, as in stealing Alpha from him, he immediately did not like it, and tried to stop it. We can see this by him separating Alpha and Negan from sleeping near each other and twice when Negan was in trouble Beta asked Negan to be killed. He also sees Negan as a threat by seeing his strength and experience. Although Beta clearly has the strength and size to take down just as many walkers as Negan, if not more, Negan is recognized for his accomplishment of killing two walkers. Whether or not Beta had been recognized, Beta was still upset about the situation. This whole situation of Alpha and Beta’s relationship and the relationship between Negan and Beta gives an idea of what will happen when Beta and Negan cross paths.
I am not sure what will happen once Rick sees what Negan has done, but I am sure it will be very interesting and I cannot wait for the next issue!

I really thought I thought I was going to get to see Negan say a bunch of filthy and brilliant lines to somehow get Alpha in the sack. I really thought we would see Alpha and Negan get down like crazy animals too, lol. I actually like this ending even better!!! You know he’s never going to stop talking about that head!
