Poll: Did Father Gabriel Do the Right Thing?

At the end of Episode 514, Father Gabriel confessed to Deanna Monroe something that has long been bothering him: Rick’s group are bad people. And while Father Gabriel might feel better after getting that off his chest, we definitely don’t feel so great about it.

Was he right to warn Deanna? Or is he a total traitor to the group? Vote below and let us know!

Father Gabriel has done WORSE, BY FAR, than all of our survivors put together. He allowed multiple people, safe to assume 20+ outside his church walls to die and be torn apart. C’mon, how is that not worse that killing people our of defense

Father Gabriel would be dead if it weren’t for Rick & the group!

Bad people would have left him to die on that boulder.

I voted “Definitely, I would have warned Deanna too”… that way, ASZ would know not to screw with them.
    Just kiddin’.

Gabriel is a giant turdburger. I hope the zombie horde pulls his brain out through his nose, while making a maypole out of his intestines.

It seems like he’s being a total mother dick, but I think he just has a screw loose and has since before he met up with Team Rick.
Between being a coward and betraying his congregation by leaving them to be munched on by a horde, being alone for a very long time with nothing to do but eat cans of corn and make handwritten copies of the bible and the loss of his wife?girlfriend?buddy (you know, church lady!)–I think he’s just dropped off the deep end.
Then he meets and is saved by a pack of wild dogs. Yes, he owes them a debt, but they are scary as fuck and he is cookoo-bananas. Basically, I’m not mad at him because can you really be mad at a crazy person for behaving like a crazy person? Nah.
And I feel like Deanna’s thousand yard stare wasn’t necessarily an “Oh, fuck. Who did I let in here?!” look. I think it was more of a “How am I going to handle this mentally ill preacher?!” look. I could be wrong, but I think ol’ poker face Deanna knows exactly what she brought into Alexandria with Team Rick, and it’s exactly what she was looking for.

I got the impression he was actually talking about himself, with the whole devil in desguise bit, but at the same time Rick’s group are the only ones that know what he did so he wants rid of them too. It think its both guilt and cowardice.

He is a coward, he should have talked to Rick and the group first. They saved his life.

Guys just scared and religious, how many fanatics say the devil walks among us whenever theres a school shooting or something? Now imagine the dead actually walking the earth, add that on the fact that he wasnt “raptured” and you got yourself a shaken holy man, i really cant blame him

Selfish & coward & ignorant. Rick et all are the only ones that know what he did (or didn’t do) to save his parish with the turn. He wants Alexandria to look at him how he used to be looked at from his parish…so…get rid of the people that can tarnish that image and prosper. Just ignore the fact that the group saved his life, how many times, and his going this route is as/more evil than anything he’s accusing them of!

He just wants to get rid of those who know what a coward he is. The only people who know that he let his entire flock get torn apart while he whimpered in a corner. He needs to be tied to a tree. He’ll get what’s coming to him, I have no doubt
