Holy smokes! The Walking Dead has been nominated for seven Saturn Awards this year, making it the leading TV show in the television nominations!!

The Walking Dead should MOP THE FLOOR in these categories… but sad to say, I don’t have my hopes up because of the snub history.
Most likely to win is Reedus & most deserving is Lincoln with McBride equally deserving, IMO.

Ohhh, so many good nominees! I hope Melissa McBride will take the supporting actress but it’s steep competition against Emilia Clarke!
Andrew and Norman get all the props, and they deserve it–but I would love to see Melissa, Emily, Chandler or Andrew J take an award because they just need more accolades for the work they are doing.

I’m kind of non-plussed that Danai Gurira got snubbed… I would have voted for her over Melissa, but while I love Emily Kinney’s Beth, I think that Melissa will take best supporting actress.
I’m DIGGIN on the concept that Chandler Riggs got some recognition… we’ve watched him grow into a fine actor over the span of the zompoc, and I look forward to seeing great things out of him in the future, both in and out of Kirkman’s universe.
Andrew West’s performance as the creepy-as-hell Gareth was damn sure worthy of his nomination and I hope he walks away with the award as well.

Compared to the other nominees in Best TV series, it’s easy to see TWD as a winner. The two strongest candidates from the fantasy/horror genre are Bates Motel and Game of Thrones and they were both put into the Limited TV series bracket instead.
However, a number of the other categories will be tough as there are strong performances from established actors such as Mads Mikkelsen, Laurence Fishburne, Maisie Williams and Emilia Clarke. Putting our love for TWD aside, these GoT and Hannibal actors have given far better multi-dimensional performances.
