Forget wealth, cat videos, and happiness, what the world REALLY wants is The Walking Dead and Stranger Things in their life. At least, according to Global TV Analytics firm Parrot Analytics, who measured common threads within global audiences for 2018. Parrot announced that this week that The Walking Dead and Netflix’s Stranger Things were the most in-demand TV series for 2018 (partly because Game of Thrones didn’t air new episodes last year).
Big congrats to #TheWalkingDead for winning the Most In-Demand TV Series in the World for 2018 at the #GTVDAwards @NATPE! Walking Dead actors Josh McDermitt and Pollyanna McIntosh along with producer Denise Huth were on hand to accept the award at the NATPE Miami international content market and conference. According to Deadline, “The Global TV Demand Award winners were determined using Parrot Analytics’ global audience demand measurement system, which measures how much a TV series is wanted in over 100 markets around the world, across all platforms.” So congrats to all the people who work on both shows – and a HUGE thanks to Game of Thrones for sitting 2018 out.
The Walking Dead returns on AMC Sunday, February 10th while Stranger Things returns on Netflix Friday, July 4th.
Is it though?
