Johhny Cash
Civilian ! 02 x 10 , Shane <3
ditto “Shane <3"!
i like this one too.
When you guys used The Regulator by Clutch was sick!
Ben Nichols – The Last Pale Light in the West (406 as the Governor wanders around aimlessly after burning down Woodbury)
epic
the season 3 song after daryl comes back with his brother “share my bed you share my name”
Running to the rain: Peter Gabriel (Episode 106: TS-19, Jenner explains the HIT/HIT detornates)
not only is the best music moment ever used in TWD not in the choices above — but it’s the best use of music ive ever EVER seen in any TV series. When they show the flashback of The Governor in season 4 episode 6 – The Last Pale Light in the West by Ben Nichols — Chills every time.
“The Last Pale Light in the West” by Ben Nichols
‘Be Not So Fearful’ was very fitting on the approach to Terminus (or perhaps no so… If that makes sense). Regardless, nice cover by A.C. Newman and was a great scene. +1 on that from me! 🙂
Now on my YouTube, the most viewed one is The Regulator but my personal favorite, I think, is Up The Wolves ’cause there’s gonna be a party when the wolf comes home. Honorable mentions are Last Pale Light in the West and Lead Me Home, which was played in “Clear” as Rick, Carl and Michonne drive back to the prison. I think Warm Shadow and You Are The Wilderness added an amazing atmosphere to what was going on at the time in the show too.
Up the Wolves
This song really ended the episode well and made me smile some people called it corny but I really liked this moment and episode .
>- -<
Last pale light in the west or thebwailing Jenny’s parting glass! But that was in the season 3 trailer! Not an episode but still great
Thank you The Walking Dead !!! thank you for introducing me such great bands like Clutch, since then I’ve listenned to all their albums and searched for artitst that are in the same genre like Kyuss, Greenleaf, Sasquatch. You rocked my world TWD
Lead Me Home by Jamie N Commons was a great tune.
Darkness by johnny cash
Season 3, Episode 12 “Lead Me Home” by Jamie N Commons.
Clutch !!
Portugal. The Man “Heavy Games”
“Hold On” by Tom Waits. Season 3. It was just when the cleared the cellblock . Started with Beth singing then faded into Tom Waits singing.
Saw Emily perform hold on live, awesome song, amazing voice, definitely the best use of a song in the show
I seen her sing it live also pretty damn cool .
18 Miles Out Ending + Credits song! Anyone know the name?
Civilian by Wye Oak I think.
I forgot about this song by the way it is really good .
Thanks, bro.
Anytime my friend.
Surface of the sun end of the second last episode season 1
Serpents (Demo version)- Sharon Van Etten in 4×04 “Indifference” when Rick was driving away alone after leaving Carol
I love “Warm Shadow – Dactyl” and “You are the Wilderness – Voxhaul Broadcast”!
the walking dead theme song- every episode. It’s just so good
The age of reason- I don’t know if it was on the show but it was on the trailer about when Daryll crashes the car into the herd
Lead Me Home by Jamie N Commons
Serpents by Sharon Van Etten.
From season 4 episode 4 when Rick is driving back after just kicking Carol from the group
Really disappointed that The Last Pale Light in the West wasn’t on the poll. Used when the Governor is wandering aimlessly, after the fallout of the season 3 finale. That scene and that song are so very good.
Runner ups would be Civilian in season 2 and Oats in the Water from season 4.
The Governor’s whistle.
I’ve been waiting on your input on this subject.
I like a few of these songs mentioned & others don’t do a thing for me. Actually, the music that has always stood out for me is Bear McCreary’s The Mercy of the Living. When I hear this, it’s a scene where I’m usually in tears, near tears, or impacted with a heavy heart.
BTW, if I had to pick one from what’s mentioned here, I’d have to go with Blackbird Song with Oats in the Water running a close second. Up the Wolves matches its episode perfectly in how I feel about it: GAG!
That’s cool .
I do have to say that this kind of music definitely fits the show! There’s another show I watch where the music is so off that it detracts from the action.
Emily Kinney definitely brings the heat .
She shoulda done it with something else rather than wasting a perfectly good jar of shine. Shame on her, lol!
I would of tried to get her to do some body shots .
Lol, Daryl woulda never smashed my Schnapps & got away with it!
Yeah that was a party foul .
Definitely Jamie N Commons – Lead Me Home from episode 3×12.
Wye oak Civilian!!!! Season 2
Wasn’t in an episode, but Kari Kimmel’s “Black” from the season 3 comic con preview was epic I thought, with the whole “Welcome to Woodbury” before it started, and later Rick saying “This prison is ours, we took it. We spilled blood!” Never forget how psyched I was for that season to start.
Mountain Goats forever, man.
Voxhaul Broadcast “You are the Wilderness” This plays I think 2nd to last episode in season 3 when they reveal that Andrea is locked up in The Governors Torture Chamber. Great song!
The Nebraska episode. When Rick shot those men it was very John Wayne and Dirty Harry. Clutch by the Regulator played for that scene. It was a very powerful scene. Rick knew then that was how he had to protect himself and the group from others.
waxahatchee- be good.
Jamie N Commons – Lead me Home – After they all pile back into the car leaving Morgan to burn more of the walkers.
“be good” like it was said before, pretty song and fit the situation. emily even put it on her album. her version is too sickeningly sweet. the original had a touch of grit and the version she sang to daryl was de-tuned and beautiful. she should have followed suit on the album.
Love The Mountain Goats but The Walking Dead ….isn’t that some silly zombie show that appeals to the lowest common denominator.
If that’s the case, I am proud to be the lowest common denominator. Good day, sir!
ippee yahoo Ike’s a proud eejit.-
So your wife and kids like it then ?
He’s been properly served! I don’t see a comeback happening.
I really hope he does comeback I’m just warming up.
I doubt he’ll be back. People like that always punk out because they know they won’t be able to stand toe-to-toe with a counter.
I got your back on it bro if he tries we stick together
Right on bro the feeling is mutual.
Your daughter is so stupid she tried to put her m&m’s in alphabetical order.
Hooohahahahahahahahaaaa
Your wife is so stupid she thinks taco bell is a Mexican phone company.
Muahahahahaa
Your daughter is so ugly that her mom had to be drunk to breast feed her .
LMAO
Your daughter is so ugly that she looks like she’s been in a dryer filled with rocks.
Lol
also “Civilian”
NO BRAINER and I can’t believe it wasn’t a choice. “You Are The Wilderness” by Voxhaul Broadcast revealing Andrea being held captive by the Gov. in episode 314 Prey.
Ben Nichols – The Last Pale Light In The West
S04E06 ” Live Bait”

Ben Nichols Lucero
Warm Bodies (Fink) after talks in Arrow on the Doorpost
It’s not in any episodes but I absolutely LOVE Ben Nichols- this old death
Hold on Tom Watts season 3
Where the hell “Last Pale Light In The West”? Used in the scene where The Gov gets out of his tent!
“Serpents” by Sharon Van Etten in episode 404!
I absolutely loved Blackbird Song by Lee DeWyze. What a haunting melody; it really was a perfect fit for the show.
How can Blackbird Song in the opening scene of the Alone episode not make you feel the emotions. It is beautiful and perfect.
I voted for “Blackbird Song”; because that song, coupled with Gilliard’s superb acting made for an unforgettable TWD scene. So much feels in that scene; and not a word spoken.
But my personal favorite would have to be, hands down the song “Space Junk” by Wang Chung; played during the ending credits of the pilot episode as the camera pans up from the tank, and herd of walkers feasting on Rick’s horse, until it’s high above the city you can truly get your first look at the grand scale and magnitude of the devastation.
Blackbird Song was perfect for Bob’s scene and what a fantastic song…… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wbgb3lgMluA
I LOVED this song!!!!!! When people found out that it was LeeDeWyze they were all like hey your favorite singer is pretty bloody incredible LOVE his work. He is so unique and talented he can do anything!!! Huge future for this talented young man!!! Go LEE!!!!! Love the show by the way! This is the best song on the show! 🙂 Thanks for sharing .
The Last Pale Light In the West – Ben Nichols….amazing song
absolutely love lee dewyze blackbird song!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wbgb3lgMluA&feature=kp from the beginning and end of the alone episode
Season 3, Episode 12 “Lead Me Home” by Jamie N Commons for sure!! The tone of the song goes so well with TWD world and it was used at the perfect time.
It plays during the ride back to the prison from Morgan’s place with Michonne driving with Rick in shotgun at the end of “Clear”
Love this show, the best song that captured this show and made me take notice of the song, was Lee DeWyze Blackbird song. This guy if talented!
The cover of bad moon rising on the commerical was awesome
the song beth and maggie sang the first night they were at the prison in the field. wish i could remember title. anyone who does?
Blackbird song by Lee DeWyze is the best hands down!!
Blackbird Song for sure. Was kinda hoping we’d see songs from the Telltale Game because In The Pines at the end of Season 2 Episode 2 was awesome!
