Hate the recent covers and the story so far. Everything after all out war has been boring. Please pick up the pace

    • Owen August 8, 2014 at 8:40 am - Reply

yeah you’re right, after a war there should just be more fighting and explosions and guns and shit hell yeah, why bother developing new characters and also showing the change the old characters have gone through, that’s just a waste of time

I agree on the recent covers but I do like Issue #129’s cover a lot and these next few (Except 133) seems promising, but the only way to make ’em AWESOME is if the one and only Cliff Rathburn does it. He live downtown, y’know. No. I’m serious. He’s LITERALLY right across downtown from where I live. I’ve gotten some issues signed from him. I love it! I’m hoping on interviewing him later!!! Let’s hope he can show me some panels for future issues!!! 😀

    • Carly Hudson August 8, 2014 at 10:33 am - Reply

Totally disagree. I’ve been loving the shit out of the recent covers.

    • Neutral Grey (Jonathon) August 8, 2014 at 12:30 pm - Reply

I the time skip by itself has had PLENTY enough excitement by itself to warrant interest, sounds like you just don’t care anymore.

The story is fine, and it’s evolved. You stick with it or you don’t.

I can’t wait to see what Negan says to convince Magna & Co. that Rick is an evil dictator or something like that. That should be interesting.

    • ThatEpicBeast U Know August 8, 2014 at 10:09 am - Reply

HA! I was slightly looking at your comment and I thought you said “Doctor” instead of “Dictator” I need better glasses xD

    • demetchu August 8, 2014 at 12:14 pm - Reply

I hope Magna is not some kind of dumb bitch who will just believe on what 1 person tells her. C’mon, it’s obvious that people likes Rick and ASZ was really doing great and she’ll believe that they are “monsters”. Rick even voluntary said that they will talk about Negan when he comes back, (yeah, some of you might mention “Even the Governor acts like the good guy once” but unlike Rick, he told her everything and didn’t kept it a secret” but since Magna can’t handle her nosey ass she kept on going puting everything at risk. FUCKIGN MAGNAAAAAA!! *heavy breathing* *intensity intensifies*

    • Mark Jackson August 8, 2014 at 10:44 pm - Reply

With his recent ego trip and general attitude it won’t be too hard to sell to newcomers. Rick may have a big “What have I become?” moment or something

  7. AJ Leslie August 8, 2014 at 9:08 am - Reply

    Storm = Tornado = Destruction… o shit

  8. Justin Teeter August 8, 2014 at 9:10 am - Reply

These two live in the Hilltop (They mentioned how mad Maggie would be about the horses.) but I wonder what position they’re in. Maybe one of them is with Maggie now? I’d find it hard to see her with someone else, but it’s been a long time since Glenn died now. ‘Might Change everything’ Either Negan gets freed or the Dead are evolving.

  9. please enter your name August 8, 2014 at 9:48 am - Reply

my prediction: These two guys are from the hilltop, they lead the herds that they’ve been driving around back to the hilltop. Hundreds of thousands of walkers are brought to the hilltop and surround it. Rick and carl are trapped after arriving. Negan has a chance to take control of Alexandria with Rick being gone. The fact that Rick resembles Douglas and is being thrown into a “no way out” situation makes me nervous. Douglas died in that volume. I can’t shake the feeling Ricks time is almost up, maybe not this issue, but definitely by the end of compendium 3.

    • ThatEpicBeast U Know August 8, 2014 at 10:02 am - Reply

Well, of course those two guys are from the Hilltop, that has been established since #128 and it didn’t really seem like they were leading herds when they found the horses and they were in Uncharted Territory anyway. And I don’t really think that the Hilltop would really be surrounded by the amount of Roamers like you said, please enter your name. If the Hilltop has the same sort of defense like Alexandria, or even better since they are a bigger community, those first wave of Roamers might be neutralized but I am on you with this one if they can’t handle the bigger waves. I don’t think Robert would make a “No Way Out” situation again, but I don’t think Rick’s time is up, he’s (Robert Kirkman) probably going to repeat the cycle like that but then either slowly transform into a very different, very cool new cycle or do it abruptly. Your prediction’s awesome, bro and hey, look, Issue 144 (The end of Compendium 3) is coming out in less than a Year and a Half!!! Woo!!

  10. Michaelangelo Coppa August 8, 2014 at 9:51 am - Reply

Can’t wait to hear what Negan has to say, I don’t think Magna’s stupid enough to let Negan go so quickly…but I’m pretty sure Negan cooked up the craziest stories just in case he was ever in this position. Remember Negan has had a lot of time to “think” and “plan” ….we all know he has something up his sleeve. This will NOT end well. AND I think there is a MASSIVE hoard about to hit one of the communities. I feel some crazy stuff happening very soon. CANT WAIT!!!

  11. Bastet August 8, 2014 at 10:21 am - Reply

Negan’s feeding all his wrongdoings to Magna as being Rick’s instead of his own.

Carl is going to the land of unicorns and rainbows to recruit a unicorn warrior race to repel the zombie hordes. Calling it now.

  15. JW Coombs August 8, 2014 at 10:49 am - Reply

I think we’re finally going to get the natural disaster many of us have been yearning for, for so long! Could you imagine, an EF5 tornado that comes ripping through that Mega-Herd, picking them up and dropping them right in the center of a community. A proverbial “Walker-Nado” if you will. LOL Or, better yet, a ferocious flash-flood, that swiftly moves throngs of thousands of the dead, with blistering speed and crushing force, and then washes them right over the walls of a community.

Either way, the nearby Mega-Herd mixed with that enormously foreboding bank of big black thunderheads, creates a recipes for an undead-mega-disaster; the likes of which we’ve never seen!

      But they’re in Virginia…..

      • JW Coombs August 10, 2014 at 5:44 am - Reply

And your point is…? In the 5 years in lived in Virginia, and the D.C. Metro I experienced several blizzards, a few floods(actually lost a house to a flash flood), a hurricane, severe thunderstorms with gale force winds, and an earthquake. So I don’t quite understand you’re logic behind the comment of-“But they’re in Virginia…”.

Oh yeah, also, for the record, since they began the record in 1951, in Virginia there have been 661 tornadoes, with 34 fatalities, and 876 injuries. With the most recent having been an EF1 that hit Cape Charles, Va on June 25th, 2014; leaving 2 dead and 1 critically injured.

So, case in point, they can most definitely, and have, experienced tornadoes in Virginia and the D.C. Metro, as well as a battery of various other natural diasters.

Weather has been totally freaky all over the place for several years now!

        • ThatEpicBeast U Know August 10, 2014 at 9:52 am - Reply

          Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick.

My point was they live in Virginia. That’s all I wanted to say. I came here for a preview of the 130th Issue of The Walking Dead, not something I can’t really use since I’m in Vermont. 😛 But thanks anyway, I guess. And my sentence was, “But they live in Virginia…” not “But they live in Virginia. There’s no tornadoes…”

          • Bastet August 10, 2014 at 10:57 am

That’s rude, Epic. You ain’t gotta be like that to get your point across. C’mon, now!

          • ThatEpicBeast U Know August 10, 2014 at 12:00 pm

Now, that Magna thing was something that I was hoping for someone else to show to me and i would get a good laugh out of and I know I ain’t gotta be like that, sorry @jwcoombs:disqus for replying like that, but I wasn’t looking for an reply from you like that. I’m not Rick and you’re not Eugene, we’re not talking about our expertise about women either.

          • JW Coombs August 14, 2014 at 5:34 am

It’s all good. I admit that I somewhat misinterpreted your post as saying “There’s no tornadoes in VA”. But now I realize, you were just pointing out that the gang resides in VA, not D.C., since we were all talking about, and asking meteorological questions about D.C. and not Alexandria. I get it, and I’m sorry if my response seemed abrasive.

    • Mark Jackson August 8, 2014 at 10:41 pm - Reply

Intriguing, do they have earthquakes in DC area? Regardless, tornado and flood are the best scenarios

      • JW Coombs August 10, 2014 at 5:33 am - Reply

Actually, 2 years ago when I was actually living in the real Alexandria, Va we had a 7.5 earthquake. The epicenter was in Mineral, VA; about 60 miles or so from D.C. So yes, although rare, they can experience earthquakes in the D.C. Metro.

      That’s a really good idea !

  16. Kaydan Howison August 8, 2014 at 11:21 am - Reply

I’m actually curious to establish what the Kingdoms primary export is to the other communities considering its been established that Alexandria trades bullets and bread to the other communities and the Hilltop trades horses and i guess building supplies.

  17. Bastet August 8, 2014 at 11:22 am - Reply

    Aw damn! Fair’s getting postponed!

  18. Terrence T. Watson August 8, 2014 at 12:26 pm - Reply

Something happens in this issue that might change everything?

    NEGAN FREED CONFIRMED
Internal Takeover Rick is going to come back to one hell of a suprise.

(Not really confirmed just flat out guessing it.)

  19. Lupienne August 8, 2014 at 1:36 pm - Reply

Sneaky Negan is best off telling mostly the truth (but with his own slant on it ;)). Like: ‘I was the leader of another group; Rick and I didn’t get along very well. Sadly, we did come to blows, but eventually we began to negotiate working together…and then out of nowhere that bastard cut my throat! But he kept me alive just to imprison me and let me slowly rot..’ He could even show off his scar while crying about how cruel Rick is. 😛
Then if Magna asked around, people would be like ‘Oh yeah, he was the leader of the Saviors and we went to war with them!’ It would pretty much ‘confirm’ his story. Then she’d be conflicted over who was the ‘good’ person, Rick or Negan. I personally don’t think SHE is going to let him out…maybe one of her group, though…
Also, I like the idea that we might getting a natural disaster (floods would be most likely I guess with all that rain…but I don’t know anything about the flood potential in the DC area XD) We haven’t had anything like that yet, well unless you count herds as ‘natural disasters’. ^__^

Awwww, shit, they’re bringin’ a herd behind’em and when they arrive no one’s gonna pay attention that Marco’s bit!

  22. Mike Davis August 9, 2014 at 8:53 am - Reply

It’s going to rain this issue 😮 LOL

  23. revenantmedia August 9, 2014 at 12:17 pm - Reply

Well I’m tired of the “Change everything” ‘spoiler’. Of course it will. They’re going to let Negan out and he’ll cause all sorts of mayhem during the carnival/party.
Why has no one brought up that we’ve not heard mention of Michonne or Ezekiel??

    • JW Coombs August 10, 2014 at 5:47 am - Reply

That has been brought up several times in discussions. We’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that they’re saving Michonne, Zeke and the Kingdom for some sort of big reveal; because apparently things have changed greatly for them in the past few years. So, I wouldn’t expect to hear much until the issue when they re-appear.
