The Walking Dead 115 Discussion

It’s here! All Out War and the beginning of the most ambitious arc in TWD history! It’s also the week of NYCC, so I’m going to keep this pretty brief as we have a TON to get done.

First, a HUGE thank you to all the retailers participating in the midnight release of The Walking Dead 115! I’ve heard many times that The Walking Dead “sells itself” but that wasn’t always the case, and it was your local comic book shop owners that helped make it the success it is, so THANK YOU.

Second, another huge thank you to all the fans that came out for the midnight release! It’s a blast interacting with TWD fans at conventions and online, you guys are the best!

So let’s get down to the nitty gritty.

The issue starts with a few quiet moments: Rick questioning his resolve and Andrea supporting him. Michonne on the brink of a potentially normal relationship with Ezekiel. The group queuing up to attack to Negan and the Saviors. Your typical Tuesday.

The big, classic Walking Dead soul-crushing moment is at the very end, when Negan reveals that Gregory and the Hilltop have turned against the others.

So what happens next? Will Rick back down? Will the Hilltoppers be kicked to the curb? Where will Shiva shit next?

Post your reactions! Post your guesses!

I’m so excited to see how this all pans out. Great issue! As always, left me wanting more. I never trusted the Gregory, good riddance. By the time anyone gets back to Hilltop, Maggie will probably be running things anyway.

Sweeet. And the art looks detailed like it used to be!

Went to comic store and tried to set the issues up to make this so called all in one picture…not seeing it…just got the Michonne cover, I fell for the hype on issue #100, not getting me on this one.

loved it- would love to see Maggie attempt to escape from the hilltop! does that mean Jesus has turned too!? I got all the covers- the NYCC one (O) isn’t out yet, what is cover N btw?

Why the F…. Negan is always ahead of Rick??? that’s really creepy.

If I were Rick, I’d just have someone shoot Gregory. And then all of a sudden Negans advantage is lost

I like the token walkers haha

Glad I had no desire to buy a Hilltop faction shirt. Gregory is the worst.

Jesus’ absence in this issue worries me a little.

What i wanna know is why both of my local comic shops diddnt receive any midnight release items, including the M variant, even tho they both are listed and both had ordered PLENTY enough to get them. Sure sucks showing up to a midnight release party that ive been looking forward to for months, to find out that theres no point… and dressing up for a zombie costume contest that there was no prize to give to the winner. And basically do nothing but spend $60 on the comics i could have gotten at any time, and not even get atleast a M variant for all the money spent on the set of comics + the money and time i spent on a badass zombie costume i planned for months. Then to drive 45min to te only other comic shop around here to find they diddnt get their midnight release stuff either.Sure sounds like everybody had fun but us. Guess ill have to pay even more money to get issue M from somebody on ebay who probably got a whole stack for free. I know itssounds petty but i just bought 12 copies of the same issue of twd + the others i feel someone who gets invited to a party only to find out that when i get there that its actually not a party the host just wanted me to buy his tupperware or some crap. Anyways i guess ive vented/rambled it out of my system. I guess i expected higher standards for TWD. Youd think after 10yrs something as simple as printing enough copies of the promo stuff wouldnt be an issue at this point. Anyways I hope you guys got the message .

I probably sound like an idiot but as a fan who spends a ton of money on TWD merch and who doesnt live somewhere near any cons this is my comic highlight of the year. I know theres no point to this post .but maybe next time things will be as advertised.

Would anybody know how many copies of the Black & White Midnight covers were made (Cover N)? I know its ‘suppose’ to be 1 per shop 😉

It has begun! The covers are incredible; one even has a hint for the future. The issue is on point. Gregory is a bitch. Bring on the next 11 issues, and thanks for doing double time so we can see what happens in 6 months and not a whole year! Also…the reprint of #1 is great; the article being a major reason why.

    Just purchased all ten, 10th anniversary covers (B – K) – the store didn’t have Cover A available 🙁

However, This is going to make a GREAT wall piece for my place. Gonna get them all framed up!

I hope Gregory get’s a taste of Lucille by the end of this. Don’t care how, don’t care who does it, just hope it happens. He’s a real wanker.

What a way to open that up in the next issue… Rick looks to Jesus, Jesus nods his head and Rick has Andrea drill a bullet into Gregory’s head… Problem solved. Well… One of them at least.
