We don’t normally talk much about TWD actors’ roles outside of The Walking Dead, because honestly 95% of this site would end up pretty much just being that, but this one is pretty cool, and EVERYONE is talking about it (our Twitter feed pretty much melted down yesterday). Also, personally, I’m a giant fan of 80’s Daredevil and while I was little disappointed in some aspects of the show, the first season was pretty cool, and really well done.
Anyway, we are super excited that our very own Jon Bernthal is heading to the Netflix series to play none other than THE PUNISHER. That is pretty f’ing badass. Good look for the role and I think he’ll kill it. What do you guys think? Comment below and answer the poll!

Not to be too terribly rude but “I was little disappointed in some aspects of the show”? What was there to be disappointed with? A lot of early DareDevil series were thick with cheese and there’s a reason he’s been called “The poor man’s Batman” (also sometimes said to be “the poor man’s Spider-Man”). I feel like the series does a lot of good in establishing the characters, making them feel real (the actors are awesome), and gives a nice sense of continuity with the MCU while not being overbearing. It feels like it’s got a lot going for it and it’s building a nice continuous story.
Unless of course you mean the Frank Miller run of Daredevil that really helped define the characters. Then that’s more justifiable because Frank Miller is awesome. Still, the show does a killer job and fits real nice with the MCU.
A mix of Frank Miller’s run and the ones that were clearly inspired by him (like the Rotgut two-parter). I think Foggy is pretty annoying on the show, Karen Page isn’t anything like the extremely damaged person she is in the comic (not sure that would even fly), and the Kingpin is an emo crybaby. By the finale my criticisms mellowed out a bit, but those are the big things that bug me.
Foggy can be a bit too much of an “awkward” character sometimes but I think it’s easy to warm up to it after awhile, especially when he’s being serious.
But Kingpin… yeah. I think now that he’s accepted his role as a bad guy he won’t be so bad when he returns. I think his character suffered a bit from the actor “overacting” his role.
