“Us” starts with Abraham and Glenn’s group still following the tracks. Eugene’s lecturing on dinosaurs, viruses, and video games. When Tara finds a penny, he tells her how to make a battery. Clearly he’s smart, but maybe not the most socially savvy guy.

That night, Abraham and Tara keep watch. Abraham says he’s noticed how Tara watches Glenn and he thought maybe she was in love with him, until he noticed how she checked out Rosita. He realizes that her drive to protect Glenn is something different.

Eugene continues talking Tara’s ear off. Luckily, they come across one of Maggie’s messages: GLENN GO TO TERMINUS. MAGGIE SASHA BOB. He takes off like a bolt of lightning.

Apparently he doesn’t run too far or too long, because the whole group is together, albeit moving at a brisk pace. Abraham wants to rest but Glenn wants to keep moving. A walker falls out of a watch tower and splats on the ground. In trying to protect Eugene, Abraham knocks Tara down, hurting her leg. When Glenn asks if she wants to rest, she agrees to keep moving. Rosita calls Glenn out for being uncaring, and not noticing that Tara would kill herself to help him. Glenn ignores her and makes a deal with Abraham: if he’ll keep moving until sundown he’ll give his riot gear to Eugene. Abraham accepts.

Later, they come to a very, VERY dark tunnel. Abraham refuses to go through it. “You hear that? That there is a loooong, dark tunnel full of reanimated corpses.” He says it’s time for them to part ways since he knows that Glenn is going to insist on going through the tunnel. Abraham gives Glenn and Tara some canned food and a flashlight. Eugene compliments Tara on her looks. Tara tells him she likes girls. Oh, he knows.

Before heading into the tunnel Glenn reassures Tara that he does care about her. Tara tells Glenn that she didn’t really understand what was going on with the Governor, but she was part of it and she can’t change that.

They approach a cave-in in the tunnel. Walkers are trapped in the debris. There’s wet blood, meaning it happened that day. Glenn checks the walkers as he climbs to the top of the cave-in. There’s an entire herd on the other side. Glenn shines the flashlight on them, looking for Maggie, which draws them in. He says he wants to push through. Tara advises against that.

While they contemplate this we check in with Abraham, Rosita, and Eugene. Eugene wants to be the navigator. After making his case, Rosita allows it. As they drive, Abraham is napping in the back of the car and Rosita is accusing Eugene of being lost. It turns out Eugene’s just been leading them to the other side of the runnel instead of toward Washington. Abraham wakes up and is pissed. As he argues with Rosita, and meanwhile Eugene sees something out the window. “GUYS!” They turn and stare.

Back to the world’s scariest tunnel, the walkers are herding toward Glenn’s flashlight, a diversion. Glenn and Tara move down the land slide opposite the light when Tara slips and gets her foot caught. Tara tells Glenn to leave her but he refuses and starts shooting until he runs out of ammo. Out of nowhere a car shows up and a group opens fire. It’s Maggie, Sasha, Bob, Abraham, Rosita, and The Euge. Tearful reunion ensues.

They stack the bodies and make camp in the tunnel. When Glenn introduces Tara he says that he found her on the road, not letting Maggie know about her involvement with the Governor. Clean slate: unlocked! Abraham tries to convince the group to come with him to Washington. Eugene says that they should go to Terminus, see what they have there. Rosita agrees. Sasha wants to go to Terminus as well, as does Bob. Abraham defers to Eugene.

Maggie and Glenn catch up. Maggie tells him she intentionally caused the cave-in when they were outnumbered by walkers. Glenn’s picture of Maggie falls out and she lights it on fire, as her promise to him that they’ll never be separated again.

Let’s rewind the clock a bit and jump over to Rick, Carl, and Michonne. Carl and Michonne are seeing who can balance on the rails the longest. Carl wins and is rewarded with a Big Cat candy bar, which he splits with Michonne. Rick smiles as he watches the exchange. Still weird to see that. They continue toward Terminus.

While Glenn was still looking for Maggie, Daryl was getting acquainted with his new crew. We start with them sleeping. A walker approaches and hits their tripwire alarm. Easily dispatched, but they notice that Daryl’s walked off. They joke that maybe he found the Lincoln that took Beth. Len heads off to find Daryl, who’s squirrel hunting. He takes down the same rabbit Daryl does, which does not please Daryl. He tells Daryl that he’s claimed the rabbit. Rules of the hunt. He proceeds to antagonize Daryl over Beth, to the point that Daryl tries to pull his knife. Joe stops him before it escalates and explains the rules to Daryl. Their group “claims” objects, and that’s how they keep the peace. First one to claim something gets it. Joe says he’s not gonna punish Daryl for breaking a rule he didn’t know existed. He then cuts the rabbit in half and splits it between the two men.

As they head down the tracks, Joe grills Daryl on what his plan is. Daryl’s reluctant to commit to staying with them, and Joe tries to convince him that it’s best to join them. He explains what happens when you break the rules: you catch a beating. They stop at a garage for the night. Joe, who is apparently a cat person (Lizzy cheers), warns Daryl: “Ain’t nothing sadder than an outdoor cat thinks he’s an indoor cat.”

They head into the garage and one of them notes that no one’s been there for a while. Joe says that it doesn’t matter—they’re getting closer. All the cars are claimed for sleeping so Daryl crashes on the floor. Len freaks out when he finds his rabbit-half is missing, and promptly accuses Daryl of stealing, a serious offense. Before they come to blows, Joe once again intervenes. He empties Daryl’s bag and both halves of the rabbit fall out. Daryl says that Len planted it. When Len refutes that, Joe hits him and the group beats him. Joe saw Len plant the rabbit. This was a test, and Len failed it.

When Daryl wakes up and leaves with the group the next day, he sees Len’s dead body with an arrow through the eye. When the group hits the tracks, Daryl notices the Terminus sign. Joe says it’s a lie. “You think they’re gonna welcome guys like you and me with open arms?” Joe tells him who they’re after: Rick. They tracked him to a Terminus sign, so that’s where they’re going.

When they see a strawberry plant Daryl yells, “Claimed!” and takes it. He’s falling in with them.

They don’t notice the Big Cat wrapper on the tracks.

The last scene of the episode is Glenn’s reunited group arriving at Terminus, a large industrial building. There are sunflowers out front and friendly signs about lowering your guns. Inside there are more flowers, laundry, and a woman barbecuing. Her name is Mary. She welcomes them and offers to fix them a plate.

So what did you think?!
Reunited love!
Eugene (kind of) saving the day!
Daryl and his scumbag friends!
And finally… TERMINUS!

Is ANYBODY trusting Terminus about now? Can it actually be the peaceful utopia it seems to be?

The best comment (as judged by us) will win a Robert Kirkman-signed 10th Anniversary COLOR Walking Dead #1!

UPDATE: Our favorite comment belonged to Chris Bigger, who also successfully claimed it! Nice job, Chris.

At the ending of the episode. That’s got to be one of the hunters because of the cooked meat in the background. IT’S HUMAN MEAT!

Yep, I was shook up when they where planning a rape. remember when they found Machonne’s shirt and they where calling dibs on who would get her first. I knew then any chance of humanity was gone out of the window. I do not hope for this but the handwriting is on the wall. I can only pray that the hand full of humans left outweigh the dreads of society. I keep watching weekly cheering for my hero’s RICK, DARYL, GLEN and CARL.

Surprisingly, no one ‘claimed’ her, or did they and we didn’t catch it? Yes, unfortunately, when society collapses, the dregs tend to rise to the surface. The final episode of the season looks like it will be a violent one.

I agree! I think they’re cannibals and that Beth was taken by one of them in that hearse. They’ll either find Beth dead or dying and maybe half eaten. Daryl will have to fight or kill the guys he’s with to help save Rick. This is just my personal take on their current situations.

Dale used to be my favorite character on the show . I would like to think that I would be that compassionate in a crisis . I also liked his friendship with Glenn .

First movie I ever cried over was The Land before Time when little foots mother died . Second time I got a tear in my eye is when Dale died I didn’t cry but I was pretty sad loved that dude .

My last post to you probably didn’t make much sense I tried to edit it but lost signal on my phone . I was trying to say when Dale died and when Rick lost Lori were the only times watching television that made me feel emotional I was actually sad .

Michonne is way to hardcore for those dudes to do anything to her they are red shirts except for Joe of course which Daryl or Rick will end up killing.

Awesome episode but im really worried about Michonne now in the next episode, that preview was a pretty suggestive…

Don’t forget how they were talking whenever they were in the house that Rick was in. Then there’s the comment Joe said to Daryl when we first met him, about hurting other people. Joe let Len do what he did & then punishment was that Len was beaten to death. These fellas are BAD NEWS! Joe just happens to like Daryl, but we’ll see what happens when they find Rick!

Daryl has once again joined forces with someone trying to kill Rick. Like they wouldn’t have killed him and done unspeakable things to Michonne and Carl if they had gotten their hands on them at that house anyway. He should have already killed their sorry asses. In Daryl we trust, but this is going to get ugly…Good thing he has 4 rabbit’s feet for good luck.

Wonder if the Big Cat wrapper on the tracks was enough of a clue for Daryl that Michonne is in the group he’s tailing? She was picking up candy bars and comics for Carl during her Governor hunts at the start of the season, and a tracker of Daryl’s skills would notice it’s real clean trash. If so, Joe ID’d the one person who knows who they are tracking. That means Daryl would only have to find a way to make that guy have an accident to buy the group some time.

If that’s too much of a stretch, he just needs to yell “claimed” ten times real fast!

True, that is possible, but that happened on episode 12 and they witness the smoke on episode 14. Do you think it would still be burning by that time?

They’ve been showing the groups back & forth in time. Remember we saw Daryl & Beth first & how there were scuppernongs on the ground & bunnies in the log. Then we later saw Ty, Lizzie, & Mika & where those scuppernongs came from & watched Lizzie kill the bunnies. There were other little signs like that to show that what was going on with the groups didn’t run parallel with each other. With that being said, Carol, Ty, & the girls could have come up on the sight of that smoke the morning after Daryl & Beth set the fire.

**spoilers from comic** My guess is that the final episode will indeed be the hunters. A clue to this, or a smart red herring by AMC, is the teaser clip from “A” shows Rick showing Carl how to make a trap. Its a pretty elaborate trap that involves a funnel (the maps to terminus) and hiding the rope (making terminus look peaceful and welcoming). The similarities seems rather convenient but meeting the Hunters would be right in line with the events in the comic following the Prison. So what of Beth and how IMDB says that Morgan will be back in the final episode? Hell if i know…all I know is that Beth isn’t even suppose to exist in the comic so she could be whats cooking on the terminus welcoming party.

I think it’s obvious that they will eat Beth for their first meal, the car will be revealed once Daryl gets there at the end of the episode with Rick, Michonne, and Carl. Tara will be taken in for medical assistance and they will prep her for cooking cause she’s limp. That’s when Glen will notice something’s is odd with Terminus because of her absence. Abraham, Eugene, Rosita, and Sasha will leave for Washington, leaving Bob to get picked off to be next to eat after binge drinking til he is unconsciously drunk. Either Abraham or Tyrese will help Ricks group against Daryl’s group, Daryl will get hurt and rushed back to Terminus. The ending clip will be Daryl’s pain of Beths death while on his death bed while Terminus people are drawing down weapons on the group.

No doubt it’s been mentioned before — at least I hope it has — but all the new characters introduced this season are really caricatures instead of characters. There is hardly any depth to them at all. Abraham is the muscle-y military dude (and where’s he able to find a barber in the Apocalypse to cut and coif his hair like that?); Rosita is a tart, I mean who in the Apocalypse is going to walk around in short shorts and tie off their shirt at the midriff to be all sexy? Is the show now going for the 14 year old teen boy demographic now? Eugene, surprisingly and despite his mullet, actually might have some depth to him; the gang Darryl has taken up with are simply foils to bounce Darryl off of. The writers have really fallen down with them so far this season and I hope it picks back up otherwise I’m anticipating major suck happening.

Bringing in one or two caricatures might be fun for a bit, but when virtually every single new character introduced is like that it signals a worrisome trend.

These new characters are dressed like that in the comics (that are great btw) and theyactually have depth, look at Abraham in the comics, or Rosita in the latests issues.

Completely disagree. Season 4.2 has been the best season since season 1. It also, oddly enough, stays closest to the source material, while driving the story in completely different directions. Abe, rosita, and eugene are almost exactly pulled straight out of the comic. Joes’ s group has been a great addition, showing a ruthless group of bandits who can work within a social construct of rule.

initially sceptic about the 3 characters, warming to Abraham because as you say he is sticking close to the comics book, we haven’t seen much of rosita yet so the jury is still out, I like who Eugene becomes in the comics in the end but like
I previously commented am not sure on the comic element that he brings, he splits me hate and love equally this episode.

Cannibalism is WAY too obvious. What’s going on at Terminus is going to be way worse and have as yet unforeseen/unimagined implications that are far reaching and will make the story less intimate/local…kind of opposite of how the CDC episode made the audience feel that the group and the rest of the world was now clearly on their own. The Terminus storyline will reveal that they are not. There is order or some official governmental system in play but there is a more sinister plan…some sort of culling or experimentation. Cannibalism is just so unimaginative and frankly kind of a punt at this point. I just don’t see it happening.

Agree. Not to get too real in this fictional world, but why stoop to cannibalism? Seems like a lot more trouble and danger than other survival strategies. It’s pretty rare to see cannibalism in the record of human existence into Early Archaic times. Why would people adopt it now?

      • Bastet says:

To me, this would be for extremely desparate people. Although scarce, I see too much food to get to this level. Even in the comic, it’s hard to accept. This is also why I don’t believe that whoever snatched Beth has anything to do with the hunters…because of the food in the house. My only other reasoning is that there’s a group of people who’ve lost it like Lizzie.

Have you try to review the episode Claimed ?? … Do you remember the paintings inside the house where michonne seen a picture of a woman with a blood on her mouth , the sunflower (related to Episode 14) and a white dog (related to Beth and Daryl Story) .. Therefore i strongly believe that inside the painting was Mary in the Terminus so she’s a cannibal .

Yep, and Michonne said this can be useful. I think she will think back to that house and her defense mode will kick in. I also think she will be the cast member we loose. Classic magic trick watch this hand while the other is doing something else. All along Rick and Daryl where the front runners I think to take our minds off of who will be eliminated. You know TWD history, it is the little things that come back that are right in front of our faces that we tend to miss until it all comes together. That would be Rick James cold blooded if she (the woman in the painting) killed her family and left to start her on little utopia or was she crazy cannibal before the zombies came about who knows. Can not wait to find out.

This show has gotten me to be so untrusting, that when we had the happy reuniting of Maggie and Glen, i got a feeling in my gut that one of them will die next week.
as for all the cannibal claims, i see where you get this from. that was a reaaaally long grill.

“Those who arrive survive” Funny enough I didn’t see any survivors, just one lady in the courtyard. Also, any place worth inhabiting in the apocalypse is usually under guard and I didn’t see anyone guarding this so called sanctuary. Since it does mean end of the line, I can’t imagine that this will play out well for any of the characters. My only hope is that everyone is reunited by the last episode and we see the whereabouts of Beth, who I believe is being held prisoner at terminus! As for Daryl I hope that once his “new” friends find Rick we will see the kick ass Daryl we all are accustomed to instead of this sad follower version of him that he has been on the last few episodes. I miss the other Daryl

No longer in guestion that Terminus is a cannibal colony. Realized the funeral home Daryl and Beth enjoyed their white trash brunch, was a trap. Daryl seems to have more of an older brother relationship to Beth imo. Beth Burgers or not, something majorly gruesome is going to happen during the finale. Unless Father Gabriel and Gareth are different characters, it’s very likely that Gareth kidnapped Beth and is also the leader of Terminus. That’s my prediction at least.

I feel like there would be more than just one person to welcome them to Terminus, so that is the first thing that seems wrong with the place. It will probably be a place that they have to escape from by the end of the episode and not all of them will survive, or a place that will keep them trapped and will have to find away to escape. Either way it will be interesting to see how Abraham and Rick get along with both of them possibly seeking to be the leader of the group if/when they go to D.C.. I think that Rick will let Abraham take the lead on this one since he is claiming to following orders from what is left of the government. He see this and hopes that this will lead to some form of safe civilized place that he can take Carl to live in so he can try and give him a life that is somewhat normal again. Finding any kind of hope in the crap hole of a world, clinging on to it, and following it at all costs seems to be the driving force behind the action in the show. Which is done to great effect and drama.

Absolutely loved what happened in this episode. We finally got to see the reunion of Maggie and Glenn! Amazing scene it was! But in Walking Dead fashion its no secret that most people believe Terminus will not be the peaceful utopia the survivors hope it will be. I feel group may walking into a evil none of have seen before and their moment of reunion bliss, will remain just that, one mere moment. The burning of Maggie’s picture could foreshadow her death or Glenn’s death. What do you think?

Between Maggie and Glenn who’ll go first, I’m still thinking Maggie, in regards to the burnt picture. Maggie dies, Glenn is sad, and no longer has that picture because he allowed Maggie to burn it, thus only now having a memory of her whereas if it’s Glenn, there wasn’t a picture of him to begin with, so Maggie would only have a memory of him, obviously not needing a picture of herself.

I do expect the emergence of the hunters, but I’m not sure if it will be Joe’s group or the people dwelling within Terminus. I also expect the grisly attempts at Carl to come forth.

Terminus is a mysterious chance for peace, or brutality, but I am sure the season finale will provide ‘A’ savage ending and a hell of a cliffhanger.

Mary, the female cook at Terminus, seemed almost “too calm”. The gates to terminus were not secured. The chains were just threaded but not locked. I think that Terminus is some kind of brainwashed society that worships the “walkers.” It’s like playing the Fallout games. There is always some kind of group or cult that thinks that the “zombies” or “walkers” were meant to happen and that we should try to be “one of them.”

After looking up “Terminus on “Google”-It said that ancient tribes brought food (crops) to a gathering called Terminus. This was the old sacrifice way of idea to get God to bring a bountiful crop. – Since the car with the cross in the back window grabbed Beth – and the woman who greeted the new comers was pregnant, I would guess that a white religious cult was using Terminus as advertised to gather people for food and the white females as breed stock to rebuild the white race.

A prediction that has nothing to do with cannibals: I think Rick’s brutality will come out just like it did in the comic before they hit Douglas’ Community – one of the guys from Daryl’s group will try to, ahem, have his way with Carl, and Rick will rip him apart with his bare hands. (not only did those guys mention raping whoever owned the “woman’s shirt” in the house, but Len, the bow-man arguing with Daryl in the woods, jumped at the chance to make a pedo- joke a little too quickly for my taste.) Rick will then question his humanity before they reach Terminus (this was foreshadowed in the Talking Dead clip when Carl asks how they will describe themselves to Terminus survivors). But yeah Terminus is probably populated by cannibals 😉

If they’ve stuck reasonably close to the comics, they could show Beth waking up realizing she is missing a leg (just like Dale did). Could Beth have been bitten before she was taken if so, they can do the whole “I’m tainted meat” sequence just like Dale. And is she being fed to the Glen’s group when they arrive? This finale is gonna be HUUUGGGEEE!!!!

Nothing is as good as it seems on Walking Dead. Terminus is exactly what it seems like and exactly what it means. The end of the line. If I am correct, Mary was wearing Beth’s sweater under her shawl, leading me to believe that her (or someone else from Terminus) took Beth in the hearse. Sadly, I believe that the dinner she was ready to serve up was a nice helping of BBQ Beth.

Why would Terminus plaster signs everywhere to possibly bring in massive amounts of people? Even with the gardens there, I highly doubt there would be enough food for all of the people such could bring in. They’re luring in victims. Drawing in the unsuspecting and hopeful people who are tired from their travels. Meals on wheels that deliver themselves!

    S4E15 ‘Us’ Review

I think this is amongst the worst written episodes for the
    Season.

Now to be fair, it functions well as a funneling episode for
reuniting the characters, however there were a lot of missed opportunities dialog
wise that really would have brought better characterization and stronger
emotional bonds between the characters. They needed better take choices than
    those that were used.

The main groups appear to be arriving at Terminus in the following
    order:

Group 4: Glenn, Maggie, Sasha, Bob, Tara, Abraham, Eugene and Rosita (at Terminus)
Group 1: Michonne, Rick and Carl (drops candy wrapper on
    tracks)
Group 3: Daryl, Joe (and 4 other marauders)(walk on candy
    wrapper on tracks)
Group 2: Carol, Tyreese, Judith (still have not found Maggie
    signs on tracks)
Group 5: Beth (could be a Terminus already or most likely in
    trouble somewhere else.)

    Good:

Our band of marauders seem to function morally based on calling (or claiming)
    property as they come upon it and not lying. It’s kind of childish;
however it does give us the mentality of this group. Daryl needs to tread
lightly, especially around Joe. Jeff Kober did a great job (in spite of
the material he was given). BTW: I think Joe had Len killed
because he really wants Daryl to stay with them also I think he took the
cigarettes from Len and would have been caught in a lie and gotten beaten up for
doing so. (SEE the Unknown regarding this.)

The choked out Marauder did see Rick at the safe haven and ironically Daryl
doesn’t know that is who Joe’s group is tracking (nice thread use.)

The special effects in the tunnel were cool. I didn’t have a problem with
Glenn going into the tunnel knowing there were walkers in there because if
Maggie didn’t go in there she would have written that on the wall. Therefore,
it made sense why Glenn would want to go in the tunnel just like Maggie
went through the walker bus. He wanted to make sure she wasn’t one of the
walkers. Tara pointing out the blood of the walkers was fresh, so the cave in was fairly recent and it turned out Maggie caused the cave in. What she used to set off the cave in is unclear. It was good suspense. (However, I did have a problem with the
    cave in (SEE BAD.)

Eugene’s awkward moment with Tara was great! All of his dialogue to get to that part wasn’t. He’s so socially inadequate it’s actually quite interesting. After the loss of Milton it is good to see Nerds back in the show. He does have a conscience
though. He wanted to see Glenn get through the tunnel.

I was expecting a little taste of Terminus which they adequately provided. Denise Crosby is now in the cast as Mary of Terminus. Star Trek the Next Generation fans may remember her role as Tasha Yar. It should be interesting to see what she brings.

I actually love how Abraham feels he’s leading everyone but then just goes
along with everyone still acting like he’s leading everyone “We will go to
Terminus and then go onto Washington DC.”

    Bad:

Faulty plot points; open ends with no season end teases and
    poor characterization.

Maggie caused the cave in with a gun blast after being surrounded by walkers, which has even less plausibility than using explosives. This means she shot in back
of herself causing debris to fall on the walkers behind them (Maggie, Sasha and
Bob) and they somehow managed to get through the walkers in front of them
without killing them. A concrete lined tunnel that has held up some of the innards of a mountain for many years is brought down by a single gunshot and didn’t trap or kill them? I would say that’s a bit of plot hole. I had a huge problem with that.

If part of a tunnel can be brought down with a single gunshot does it make sense to be in that tunnel trying to make a cave in to kill walkers?

No, that’s kind of stupid. What if it caves in on all of them? I think the scene was written around the cool tunnel prop and to make that work the story suffers. They could have just had the collapse already there and since it’s far into the tunnel it would make sense Maggie wouldn’t go back and change the sign. They should have just cut Maggie’s lines about the cave in and have her ask questions about Beth!

Maggie/Glenn reunion didn’t have the emotional impact it should have had based on the actions in the previous Season four episodes by both Maggie and Glenn. Maggie’s reaction to finding him was what saved the scene. Glenn appeared to be shell shocked even after he was in private moments with Maggie. Glenn went to a lot of trouble to find her, however when he does there isn’t the emotional release I was expecting. I put that on acting, choice of reaction shot on the direction and the writing (in other words practically everything.)

Not a single question from Maggie to Glenn about Beth??? Shouldn’t Maggie also be asking why Glenn wasn’t on the bus? Where he went after he left the bus? Had he seen Beth? Those conversations should have been in a shot.

I noticed only one railroad switching point along the track Maggie and Glenn’s groups were both on heading towards Terminus. Surely if Terminus is a centralized railway yard where trains terminate, shouldn’t there be tons of tracks merging together from different directions? Our groups would have at the very least met up with more walkers merging into their rail line or their rail line would have merged into a main line where they met walkers or survivors.

Where are all the people at Terminus? There has to be more people. If it ends
up there are more people, why isn’t anyone on guard duty at the gates? There were walkers in the tunnel, where are all the walkers that should be surrounding Terminus? They could have shown people bustling around in back of Mary.

    Unknown:

Len accused Daryl of taking his cigarettes.
What Len seemed to forget is that 3 out of the 7 of themsmoke. (Joe smokes too.) I think Joe took Len’s cigarettes. I wonder if Daryl picked up on that? Another lost opportunity for writers to show Daryl testing Joe’s trust. Daryl could have mentioned that to Joe and just ask if he took the cigarettes (after they left Len’s body back at the garage.)

Joe was questioning Daryl asking him when he was going to leave the group.
This suggests in one way that they will let Daryl leave without trying to kill him.

If this is the case why doesn’t Daryl leave them and try to find Beth?

If Daryl thinks he will end up like Len, then I can see why he is reluctant
to leave the group (they could kill him too). Perhaps he figures safety in numbers since they appear to be heading for Terminus then that’s the way he should head because they will find the others.

That’s my little bit added. Lol

The main groups appear to be arriving at Terminus in the following
    order:

Group 4: Glenn and Maggie’s group, (Sasha, Bob, Tara,
Abraham, Eugene and Rosita (at Terminus)

Group 1: Michonne, Rick and Carl (drops candy wrapper on
    tracks)

Group 3: Daryl, Joe (and 4 other marauders)(walk on candy
    wrapper on tracks)

Group 2: Carol, Tyreese, Judith (still have not found Maggie
    signs on tracks)

Group 5: Beth (could be a Terminus already or most likely in
    trouble somewhere else.)

Len accused Daryl of taking his cigarettes. What Len seemed to forget is that 3 out of
the 7 of them smoke. (Joe smokes
too.) I think Joe took Len’s
cigarettes. I wonder if Daryl picked up
    on that?

Not a single question from Maggie to Glenn about
Beth??? Shouldn’t Maggie also be asking
why Glenn wasn’t on the bus? Where he
went after he left the bus? Had he seen
    Beth?

Joe was questioning Daryl asking him when he was going to leave the group.

This suggests in one way that they
will let Daryl leave without trying to kill him.

If this is the case why doesn’t
Daryl leave them and try to find Beth?

One of the cannibal members of Terminus could be running the Mortuary trap and they have Walker loved ones being “preserved” in Terminus but all reconstructed with make-up to make them appear “normal”. They trap survivors in all the unbelievably spic n’ span places the survivors run into and terminate them by feeding on them and feeding the remains to the Walkers. The “Claim” Hunter group might actually be hunting more survivors to trick into coming with them to Terminus as they are also part of that cannibal community. I sincerely hope Beth is not going to be on the plates being served by freaky Mary. But then again Norman Reedus did tweet a few eps back that “he ate Beth”. Oh no :'( Just when I was beginning to like Beth. Please don’t kill off Tara. She IS seriously hot!

I believe Mary is the girl in the painting from episode 11 that Michonne and Carl found! Mary is a cannibal, camp terminus is a cannibal camp. Mary went crazy once her family died (the dead people in the bed from episode 11 that michone discovered) Mary was barbecuing someone from the group, and she was wearing their jacket. So someone is dead and I’m trying to find out who’s jacket she’s wearing! Rick discovers the body this season finale! Who’s ever jacket Mary was wearing last episode is the person who’s dead from the group!

Obviously Terminus is a trap. There was no people there. If all those people saw those signs the place would be filled to the brim with people. Also, that one chick has the same creepy vibe as the John’s brothers from the telltale games series. Even to the point of food being the only thing she seems mention. Just like the at the dairy. Where “Dinner” Was all the hype for them. (Or I’m just making a wild analogy based on the fact of what terminus might be) Plus the storyline matching up to the time with the…
    *spoiler alert*
Hunters, so Terminus is just them…
Or a parallel universe where the moon falls in three days.

    S4E15 ‘Us’

I think this is amongst the worst written episodes for the Season.

To be fair, it functions well as a funneling episode for reuniting the
characters, however there were a lot of missed opportunities dialog wise that
really would have brought better characterization and stronger emotional bonds
between the characters. They needed better take choices than those that were
used. I also think Episode 11 should have been named ‘Us’ and Episode 15
    ‘Claimed’.

    Good:

    • The band of marauders seem to function morally based on calling (or claiming)
property as they come upon it and not lying. It’s kind of childish; however it
does give us the mentality of this group. Daryl needs to tread lightly,
especially around Joe. Jeff Kober did a great job (in spite of the material he
    was given).

    • The choked out Marauder did see Rick at the safe haven and
ironically Daryl doesn’t know that is who Joe’s group is tracking (nice thread
    use.)

    • I didn’t have a problem with Glenn going into the tunnel knowing there were walkers in there because if Maggie didn’t go in there she would have written that on the wall. Therefore, it made sense why Glenn would want to go in the tunnel just like Maggie went through the walker bus. He wanted to make sure she wasn’t one of the walkers. Tara pointing out the blood of the walkers was fresh, so the cave in was fairly
recent and it turned out Maggie caused the cave in. What she used to set off
the cave in is unclear. It was good suspense. (However, I did have a problem
with the cave in (See Bad comments.)

    • Eugene’s awkward moment with Tara was great! The five minutes of his
dialogue to get to that part wasn’t. He’s so socially inadequate it’s actually
quite interesting. After the loss of Milton it is good to see Nerds back in the show. He does have a conscience though. He wanted to see Glenn get through the tunnel.

    • I was expecting a little taste of Terminus which they adequately provided.
Denise Crosby is now in the cast as Mary of Terminus. Star Trek the Next
Generation fans may remember her role as Tasha Yar. It should be interesting to
    see what she brings.

    • I actually love how Abraham feels he’s leading everyone but then just goes
along with everyone still acting like he’s leading everyone “We will go to
Terminus and then go onto Washington
    DC.”

    Bad:

Faulty plot points; open ends with no season end teases and poor
    characterization.

    • I believe Maggie said she caused the cave in with a gunshot after being
surrounded by walkers. This means she shot in back of herself causing debris to
fall on the walkers behind them and they somehow managed to get through the
walkers in front of them. They did so without killing them all or having the
walkers follow them out of the tunnel. Instead the walkers opted to hover around the rubble in the tunnel. Really?

A concrete lined tunnel that has held up some of the innards of a mountain for
many years is brought down by a single gunshot and didn’t trap or kill them?

I would say that’s a bit of plot hole. I had a huge problem with that.

If part of a tunnel can be brought down with a single gunshot does it make
sense to be in that tunnel trying to make a cave in to kill walkers?

No, that’s kind of stupid. What if it caves in on all of them?

I think the scene was written around the tunnel prop and to make that work the
story suffers. They could have just had the collapse already there and since
it’s far into the tunnel it would make sense Maggie wouldn’t go back and change
    the sign.

    • Maggie/Glenn reunion didn’t have the emotional impact it should have had
based on the actions in the previous Season four episodes by both Maggie and
Glenn. Maggie’s reaction to finding him was what saved the scene. Glenn
appeared to be shell shocked even after he was in private moments with Maggie.
Glenn went to a lot of trouble to find her, however when he does there isn’t
the emotional release I was expecting. I put that on acting, choice of reaction
shot on the direction and the writing (in other words practically everything.)

    • Not a single question from Maggie to Glenn about Beth??? Shouldn’t Maggie
also be asking why Glenn wasn’t on the bus? Where he went after he left the
bus? Had he seen Beth? Those conversations should have been in a shot.

    • I noticed only one railroad switching point along the track Maggie and
Glenn’s groups were both on heading towards Terminus. Surely if Terminus is a
centralized railway yard where trains terminate, shouldn’t there be tons of
tracks merging together from different directions? Our groups would have at the
very least met up with more walkers merging into their rail line or their rail
line would have merged into a main line where they met walkers or survivors.

    • Where are all the people at Terminus? There has to be more people. If it ends
up there are more people, why isn’t anyone on guard duty at the gates? There
were walkers in the tunnel, where are all the walkers that should be
    surrounding Terminus?

To make the Tunnel scene work better having a shot of walkers going into the tunnel from the other side and also take out the dialog about the cave in being fresh from earlier that day. Instead make the cave in preexisting to either group. If the cave in is a long way into the tunnel than you can have walkers for them to eliminate on the way. This will add to the existing suspense and not give away whether Maggie is dead or alive to Glenn. The walkers entering the cave on the other side helps explain why there was a horde of walkers after the cave in after Maggie’s group left. They could also add dead zombies after the cave in to help corroborate Maggie had gotten through there or at least someone else had gotten through.

Some speculation: Does Michonne know Tara was part of the Governor’s group? If that is the case then Maggie will find out that Tara was with the Governor. That may cause friction between Maggie and Glenn because he fibbed about how he met her.

Terminus is a big fucking trap. When Glenn, Abraham et al roll up there I made a few observations about some red flags. Red Flag #1: all the signs and maps along the train tracks. Any psycho, hoodlum or dreg of humanity could roll up to Terminus who see the signs on the road. Who the hell advertises their sanctuary?! Or has time to do so by posting up a bunch of signs for miles and miles?! Rick didn’t have any signs up on the road saying “Come join us in the prison- here’s directions to it”. Red Flag #2: there is no guard tower/no one stationed on the top of the main building to see what random people could be wandering in. Red Flag #3: The first fence is NOT locked, nor is there is a fence all the way around the first entrance, like by the train tracks that border it. Red Flag #4: The second gate that Glenn pushes open is not locked EITHER, and they just come right in. Who the hell does that in a supposed “safe zone”?! The place is too fishy, and just obviously so. Shouldn’t everyone’s guard be up upon entering the place given all they’ve been through (meaning Sasha, Glenn, Abraham et al)?! Terminus is just too good to be true. It’s like a scene out of a bad horror movie from the 80’s where a group of people wander naively into a bad situation that all of us see coming. And then all of their asses get trapped and they have to fight their way out after saying to each other “Oops- we never should have come here!” That lady Mary at Terminus is probably a Hunter and was cooking up a human leg when she greeted everyone.

Based on Epoch.com website – their prediction about Beth is she was kidnapped by a Pastor/Priest Gabriel (on comics) after she escape and running out came from the funeral homes and take her to the church … As you have notice there is a cross at the back of a car ….

The other prediction is , she was kidnapped by the hunters and take her to the terminus

Actually, Mary says “let me make you a plate”. Is she going to make THEM into a plate?

Terminus is the clean trap extension of the Beth/Darryl house. No walkers in sight, everything in a row and set up like a Disneyland set. There is a massa walkers hidden here somewhere. There is also probably a human meat locker for the ones they fatten up at the house, trick outside with the dog and then slaughter in a way that stops them from turning. None of the bodies at the funeral home had head wounds.?

Terminus prediction: Glenn’s group comes in, cleans up, gets ready to have some ( where have all the cows been hiding? ) chow and then one of them stumbles on the “secret”. Eugene is starting to man up. I like him . He is super quirky. He will die before Washington and the reason for the walkers will die with him. Darryl will kill a nice chunk of those hunters, but not all of them. It’s a tough one , but my prediction for deaths in the last episode originally were Michonne or Glenn, but I think they are just leading us to think that and have something else in store. I say Beth ( in front of Maggie) and Sasha. I WANT That #1!!!!

One small thing keeps bothering me. At the end, Joe started yet another car for them all to go off in. It’s been a couple of years and there are alot of knowledgeable manly men and savvy women among the survivors so don’t they know that gasoline degrades and goes bad eventually? Not to mention the dead car batteries, but at least they’ve covered that in the series. When are they going to have to give up on cars completely for transportation? I’m probably being overly sensitive to the issue, but everything else seems so spot on. Are they continuing to use vehicles in the comics still? Sorry if it’s a silly question!

Certainly not a silly question! You can get about 2 years’ use on today’s gas. If it comes from a larger storage, like a gas pump instead of other vehicles, it could last longer. There are also things that you can add to gas to stabilize it and/or “reconstitute” it. It may seem like a substantial amount of time has passed in the show, but I put it at around 2 years at the most, so this will probably be an issue in the near future.

As for the comic, I see larger vehicles being used, some being military type that probably use diesel, which has a longer life.

Thanks! I guess if it goes on long enough, things will only get worse rather than better if they lose their best mode of transportation. Big step backwards. I hope there are a lot of horses in Georgia! :o)
