This is it. Some real s**t is about to go down. Mid-season finale. The Governor vs Rick. Will this be the last time we see this? The Governor has a mother f’ing tank for crying out loud! On to the show!

We start with The Governor talking his new troops into a full-on assault on the Prison. He paints the stakes, he lies about Rick’s group, he sells the Prison. As he continues to speak, we see the shots of the Governor capturing Hershel and Michonne. He tells his group that they can take the Prison without firing a shot. “We don’t need to kill anyone… but we need to be prepared to.”

He continues. Says Rick’s group is mostly thieves and criminals. “These people, they mutilated me, burned my camp, killed my daughter.” He definitely says the right things to set his people on attacking the Prison. You kind of feel like his speech is going to end in a slow clap.

The Governor goes to Hershel and Michonne and tells them his plan of not killing anyone at the Prison, trying to convince them of his intentions. It’s hard to tell if he actually believes his plan at this point. Hershel counters with the two groups living together but the Governor says that they never could.

The Governor continues to sell Lilly on his course of action and then goes to bond with Meghan. Has the Governor changed or will he once again lose it in some misguided attempt at control and power?

Back at the Prison we see that Glenn is recovering. Daryl confronts Rick about Carol. He’s pissed but ultimately he seems to understand, even if he doesn’t quite believe that Carol would be capable of something like that. They go to tell Tyreese but when they find him Tyreese tells them there’s something they need to see. He shows them an autopsied rat, neatly displayed. He says that a psychopath did this and it’s the same person that killed Karen. Just as Rick says that he doesn’t think it’s the same person the Prison is rocked by an explosion. The Governor has arrived. With a tank.

The Governor trots out his prisoners and insists on talking to Rick, who says he’s not the one in charge anymore. The Governor won’t let him off the hook. Daryl gives Rick the nod, Rick reassures Carl, and he heads down to the gate. Daryl tells Tyreese and Sasha to circle around the prison and to ready the bus in case things get bad.

Needless to say, Rick and the Governor don’t see eye-to-eye. The Governor wants them to leave, at any cost. He gives Rick’s group until sundown to leave or he’ll kill Hershel and Michonne. As Rick tells him that there are sick kids that won’t survive if they leave, some of the Governor’s group look a little unsure, though most probably don’t even hear Rick’s side of the argument.

Back at the Governor’s camp, Meghan is playing in the mud again while Lilly watches a walker approach from the other side of the river. As Meghan plays with a muddy sign, a walker bursts up through the dirt, grabs her, and eats a chunk of her shoulder. Lilly runs down and shoots it, but too late.

The standoff continues at the Prison. The Governor shoots two walkers and tells Rick that now more walkers will be coming, and the longer they wait the harder it will be to leave. Daryl and Carl have guns on the Governor. Carl wants to shoot but Daryl talks him into trusting his dad.

Lizzie and Mika are taking Judith (Lil’ Ass Kicker) to the bus when Lizzie says that Carol taught them to be strong and they should arm themselves so they go for guns instead of going to the bus.

Rick argues that they can all live in different cell blocks and stay in the Prison. The Governor says that they’ll never be able to live together after Woodbury and Andrea. When the Governor still refuses, Rick says they won’t leave and a fight will render the Prison useless. He tries to convince the people with the Governor to just come inside. The Governor responds by using Michonne’s sword to partially sever Hershel’s head (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!).

Then all hell break’s loose. Rick shoots the Governor in the arm, Daryl and Carl open fire, the Governor’s people open fire, Rick gets shot in the leg. As guns blaze Michonne runs. The Governor finishes his job on Hershel’s head, and as he does Lilly arrives with a pre-zombified Meghan. The Governor takes her in his arms and he puts a bullet in her head. The Governor orders his men to run down the fences. “Kill them all” he says.

As the tank advances on the Prison, Maggie runs inside to get people out (including a limping, weak Glenn). Rick tackles the Governor and the two start brawling. Maggie gets Glenn to the bus but then goes to look for Beth. Daryl gets pinned down by gunfire with walkers approaching from his rear. He ends up using one of them as a human shield and then lobs a grenade at his attackers.

Maggie meets up with Sasha and Bob, Bob get shot, the bus drives off, they all retreat. Tyreese gets pinned down but is saved by armed Lizzie and Mika, who shoot his assailant (Tara’s love interest) in the head.

Out in the field, the Governor is choking Rick to death. Just as Rick is about to lose consciousness, Michonne stabs the Governor through the chest. Rick goes to look for Carl while Michonne looks on a dying, gasping Governor. She leaves him dying, and does not put him out of his misery.

Daryl chucks a grenade down the tank barrel and then kills an unarmed Mitch. He and Beth take off.

Rick finds Carl and then asks about Judith. They go to look but find only a blood, empty baby seat. A distraught Rick and Carl flee as zombies overrun the prison.

Lilly comes upon the Governor lying in the field, still alive. We see from the Governor’s perspective as she points her gun at his head and fires.

The last shot is Rick and Carl on foot, alone, fleeing a destroyed Prison as dozens of zombies swarm in. A wounded Rick says “don’t look back, Carl, just keep walking.”

So what did everyone think?!
Who had money on Lilly killing the Governor*?
Is Lil’ Ass Kicker now Lil’ Zombie?
Did you expect more deaths in Rick’s group?
How about that neatly flayed rat? If you read the comic that might be an interesting hint…
Where will next season start off?

*granted Michonne pretty much ended him, so if you guessed her you get a half point.

This whole season has been NOTHING but death with no hope. Herschel was the cornerstone of the group. He carried HOPE. What is this writer trying to convey…that there is no hope in life? After every episode this seson, it has left you with a feeling of depression. Next season, we may not even watch.

Linda, some people simply don’t understand that one thing is the comics, another is the TV show. Let them be, it’s a lost cause, always comparing this with that, no fun at all.

It’s based on the comics so it’s not really two different stories. It’s not scene for scene but eventually the story ends up in the exact same spot as the comics. Sometimes they just get there in a different way.

I’m pretty sure people do know that one is the comic and one is the show… but without the comic, which has now been around 10 years so they are obviously doing something right, there would be no show. I sure know the difference, that one is one and the other is the other but there are parts that are similar, hence why people compare them.. Nothing is wrong with comparing different forms of The Walking Dead… Especially the show to the comic because most of the characters in the show have come from the comic. Some people find comparing the different forms fun; I am one of them. (just like I love comparing and seeing the differences of other books to the movies that are later made from them. I don’t know what is wrong with that?..)

Or as you said in a different comment to someone else “Talk from what you know, if you don’t know, leave this type of comments to yourself and don’t bother me, ok?”

So maybe you should take your advice and talk from what you know, as you said. Not trying to start shit, I just don’t see why you and others have to be so rude to people that are fans of the same thing. It just doesn’t make sense to me. We should pull together if we are all fans of it and accept other people’s differing opinions without being rude and calling them stupid and so on.

I’m not sad, I’m even quite happy with the possability that Judith is now a little zombie kicker. But the writing is becoming inconsistent, worst episode after episode. With a lot of plot twists that make no sense. At all! You seek revenge for things that happened, you manage to find the person from whom you want revenge and she and another person are now your hostages. You have the 2 hostages side by side, you desired for soooooooo much time to kill that person, you have her right there in front of you, knees on the ground, and then you go and bum… kill the other, that you barelly knew. Makes a lot of sense! If I was the Gov and had Michonne in front of me, i would pierce both of her eyes, and finally, head off. Revenge, pure and simple. Hershel wasn’t part of that issue. No sense at all.

I tried to wrap my mind around why The Governor would take Hershel out over Michonne & the only thing I could come up with is that he knew Hershel’s death would be a bigger blow to Rick and the group vs. Michonne’s would be more vengeance for himself. Just a thought.

I don’t know if i’ll be here for ep 9. Maybe we all be dead, since there’s no hope for any of us. Guys who write the crap, you must find another audience for that huge ratings, since we no longer be here. You see? There’s no hope, so let’s do something better with our time, beside being her, speaking about and watching TWD.

? We will all be there plus many new fans to come. Nobody wants to read the comics, but then tries to say the show is different from the source. ITS NOT! The writers are not writing crap. They take it from the comic! Sure, they change around story lines for supporting characters, but it all comes back to the Main characters comic plots, and settings. RICK, CARL, MICHONNE are the main characters in both.(daryll is a wildcard).

Hell no. It was Hershel’s time to die. Get used to it. As the story goes on a lot more of your favourites will die. It’s the way The Walking Dead goes and it’s brilliant. New characters will be introduced an you will have new favourites. Just don’t get too attached to any of them. I mean how long could a guy with a prosthetic leg last in the zombie apocalypse anyway?

But as a question, how do you explain to the children that they r going to DIE on the show???

I kinda knew as soon as Herschel started talking about peace and harmony in the Governor’s RV, that he’d be dead. That’s what got Pete and Martinez killed last week. I am really surprised that he didn’t go straight for Michonne afterwards, instead of continuing to hack at Herschel. He wanted her dead in a bad way.

I haven’t read too far into the comics, so I’m not familiar with the autopsied rat, but I’ve got a feeling that is Bob’s work.

Hopefully this will help you remember. 🙂

        Issue 60 spoiler alert***and 61***
well before I get into that, you remember Allen and Donna? They had the young twin boys Billy and Ben…. Well in Issue 60 Ben sees Billy with a cat that he killed and he’s poking it… He tells Ben not to tell Dale, their ”dad” now that their real parents are dead… Well it was foreshadowing to Issue 61. Billy and Ben were in the woods “peeing” when Andrea went to find them… but she stumbles upon Billy with a very dead twin Ben with him opened up just like he did to the cat…

So with the show, I think the rat is foreshadowing someone else who is going to try to or actually murder someone..

I loved that part in the comic, even though it is of course awful, because in today’s world many murderers start with animals first.

Thanks a ton. Now I have my own idea: I think Lizzie and Mika might have taken the place of Ben and Billy, and so I’m guessing that it was Lizzie who was feeding the rats through the fence way back in ep. 2, because she kind of seemed a little mentally unstable when we’ve seen her lately. So now, I think that Lizzie will murder her sister, Mika, in the second half of Ses. 4.

I don’t follow the comics, never red TWD in the comics and won’t. One thing is the TV show, another the comics. But for sure Hershel was a keeper, was huge huge mistake in killing him! One true leg and what? Medical experience, wisdom, sense of humour, brave, the reason and when needed, could also be the heart. The Tv show is not the comics but in this case, the one being “tyreesed” should really be Tyreese. He isn’t doing a damn thing of worth in the show, lazzy dude.

Hate to say it, but the comics could be different for you! Some of the characters are truly different, i.e. Tyreese. For me, the comics are CERTAINLY better than the show, although it was the show that got me hooked.

Yeah Tyrese was a lot more useful in the comics and Kirkman actually feels remorse and regret for having to let him go, whereas in the show he’s just.. There. The only thing he’s been useful for is that force fed pseudo fight that’s supposed to be the shows interpretation of the big fight Rick and Tyrese had in the comics. Idk? There’s a lot more character development in the comics whereas the show just gives us unnecessary bullcrap drama, forced in and irrelevant character development (i.e how the governor is somehow sane with Michonne despite her completely breaking him and even killing Hershel first over her only for her to escape and stab him in the stomach), pseudo force fed moments from the comics even though they have no proper filler for those moments and don’t really make sense for the most part (he happens to find a well armed camp with a tank that is just willing to believe him and attack the prison?), and Beth singing. The show really does have a lot of potential I admit, but the adaptions are just becoming sloppy now and the outbreaks are almost the same as the comics without really leading up to them good.

Glad the show is starting to look more like the comic. Let’s be honest, Judith dies in the comic, and nobody wants to see a crushed baby on TV, so the writers gave an implied death so they don’t have to watch a baby die. Sad to see Hershal die but he never made it out with the group anyways. I wonder though why they didn’t kill Tyreese since he isn’t very important anyways. I mean he was the one who was suppose to get his head cut off by the Gov. But at least the show is starting to look a little more like the comic.

There is a method behind the madness. These trials and tribulations are key to the development of Rick, Carl, Michonne, Maggie, Glen and a few others as the main characters. The writers are treating this like the real world and so should you. Nobody gets out of this world alive and I’m not talking about TWD

Pretty selfish. If you have short memory, go at the end of ep 4. He says now everything is about his kids. Not the group. That was Rick’s 1 and 2 stages/seasons. Far gone too in that field. If you remember, they went to the prison in the first place because he wanted a place where Lori could give birth. And rest of the group played along. Unselfish Rick died in season 2.

          • Seeks_the_Truth says:

Rick lead the group completely during the first two seasons. At the start of the 3rd a woman of the group, who just happens to be Ricks wife, is about to give birth to a ‘loud’ baby and you want to claim Rick is ‘selfish’ for wanting to find a SAFE place for her to give birth in that post apocalyptic world?
            Interesting.
How many men would step forward and take control? Merle? I wouldn’t follow someone like him. Glen? He’s only now becoming unscared of his shadow.
            How many did?
I can’t blame Rick to finally focus on his family, as others like Hershel has, in the 4th season. He does/did have a newborn baby to think about after all.
His baby is probably dead now because no one stepped up and brought the children to the bus.
Who was in charge of the now lost children?
Rick is far from being selfish. Sorry you can’t see that.

          • Marisa says:

And then he must say he is a family man and just stop playing around. No, I don’t see that and I don’ ever bother. He is selfish, since 3th season. Everything evolves around Rick and his kids. He even has a nanny for the baby. Oh, and he is so concerned with them that he would let Judith die by starvation once she was born. Uncle Daryl went to took the formula and fed the baby while daddy was after walkers’ massacre.

          • Seeks_the_Truth says:

Just admit it. You’re jealous that you don’t have a man like that who would take care of you.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed all the thumbs downs that you’re getting on your comments but I think that goes a long way in showing you that people don’t agree with you. People do want misery and doom because thats exactly what would be happening in this type of environment. Once people learn how to handle the walkers, they become a manageable threat. After that you need to worry about other people doing whatever it takes to acquire resources. Nobody is going to let you live in peace and happiness when they are struggling to survive. They are going to try and take your stuff by any means necessary. If you don’t like the show than why bother watching?

        O_O blasphemy

Joking aside, they are only taking a few things from the comic here and there…. and sometimes they don’t even really fit into the show, or they are rushed. -example Rick and Tyreese’s fight… In the comic Tyreese was Rick’s right hand man and they had a pretty good friendship by the time they had the fight (and it was for something else entirely.) It was rushed in on the show… and didn’t even have much of an impact.

The comic is amazing on so many levels.

Never Linda. The comic is amazing. If you want a new story you’ll have to wait for the companion show that going to be starting in 2015. It’ll be all new characters and a brand new storyline. Unfortunately for you it’s still going to be about the zombie apocalypse and it’s going to be the same cold hard brutal world. People are going to die. It’ll never be about happy endings. It’s about surviving.

Hells yeah I’m all for it. I’m a huge fan of pretty much everything walking dead. The only thing I haven’t enjoyed so far was the FPS about Darryl and Merle. It was poorly done.
The thing about the companion show is that it gives Kirkman the freedom to do whatever he wants with these characters and thats exciting. He doesn’t have to worry about appeasing the fans of the comic. I can’t get enough of this stuff, so if they want to bring on another show I’ll be right there watching.

A prequel of sorts would interest me…I’m just worried that the current show would suffer in quality. I’d rather see a prequel in a major film. Either way, I’m like you, a huge fan that can’t get enough. So I’m there, regardless! Thanks for sharing!

Tyreese should be the one loosing his head, he isn’t important at all. One of the worst characters around, along with nanny Beth. The baby was going to die, at some point. Hershel, that leg issue was going to be difficult with the flee from the prison but could be fixed. Before he had only 1 leg and they arranged another. So, Hershel should be alive, head and wisdom of the group.
These writters are screwing the entire show, unbelivable!

I love TWD but I do believe I am done. They could have killed of so many other characters other than Hershel. I get it but Hershel represented and tried to maintain the humanity in the group and the producers are taking that away. People get attached to their favorites (me included) and they better watch, shows in the past have gotten dropped because so many of the fav characters got killed off that it wasn’t worth watching. So I am not even sure that I will pick it back up in Feb, I love the show but hate the direction.

The same here, crappy writing. And what about that Daryl’s reaction to Carol’s exile? Is he now Rick’s carpet?! WTF??? Rick kept the whole episode doing what he pointed out to Carol, always contradicting his decision in ep 4 with those speeches in this new one. He was going to “embrace” the Gov into Team Prison but banished Carol?! WTF is that wacko thinking? I thinkg the Gov should have choke him to death, honestly.
Bla bla bla crapppyyy crapppyyyy writing. Lots of explosions, very little juice. Never red the books and won’t, so the rat thing for me it’s zero.
Awful episode, like that video of Hitler on youtube about him stoping watching TWD “oh well, it’s starting a new seaason of Game of Thrones”.
Crappy writters, totally blew the show, most characters became discharacterized in this season 4. Awful.

Upps, Game of Thrones starting in the other channel. Byebye.

And that’s what that prick Rick ex-cop does, he uses people for his personal interests. So, I hope baby Judith is pretty much dead already. Perhaps the dude starts being less selfish and cynical.

I was very pleased with how it turned out, this should have been the season 3 finale. I wish that the deaths were more costly for the main characters. I wanted to see Hershel die (which I did), wanted to see Beth die with Judith in her arms running for the bus (ala Lori in the comics), wanted to see Bob get shot up somehow along with Sasha. Now hopefully the next part of season 4 will focus on survival again and looking forward to the Rick/Carl storyline like in the comics. I still want to see Stevan Segal as Negan also lol.

I think the girls that saved Tyreese went back and got Judith because after they saved him he says “hey! We go that way” and points in the opposite direction of where the girls started running. Maybe they went back and Tyreese followed them and had some flesh wound and got the crib all bloodied up!?

You need a balance or your viewers will lose interest in something with no hope. Come out and say that the comics are all depressing too but the social circle for the show is much larger then the comics. I’ve both read the comics and watched the show but this hopeless hair puller is nothing more than a lost dream. There have been some good and helpful things that have happened, right from the start. They survived an ambush on the prison at the end of S3, they brought in and saved the people from Woodbury/The Governor, established a way of life at the prison, gardening, animals, friendships, love, community, committee, etc. For the most part, they came through the Mega Flu. Michonne opened up and connected more with people around her (the comic for Carl was a nice touch!). Rick and Carl connected with each other and came to an understanding that ultimately saved their asses on more than one occasion and I’m sure from here on out. If the show was completely devoid of hope, it would just end… one ep of everybody taking themselves out. The hope and the will to survive is what’s driving the whole show, IMO!

Maybe it’s just Rick is tired of all the blood and murder with no reasoning. Maybe he has lost so many he loves and cared about that he wants to try to live a peaceful life with only the walkers/biters for a person to worry about.
Being a ‘man’ doesn’t mean kill everyone or thing in sight. It’s about having the maturity to know when to kill and when to extend a hand.
Personally, I find Rick’s change of heart inspiring in a world filled with death and hatred.
Especially since he’s trying to raise a son, and hopefully still a daughter, in that post apocalyptic world they have.

I love that they are sticking to the storyline. It’s not scene for scene with the comics but they always get it right at some point. I can’t wait until February. Things are going to continue to get more savage and people are going to be way more ruthless. God I hope they include the hunters in the second half of the season.

I really enjoy Rick, Daryl and Carl…those characters make or break this show…the character I am most looking forward to be added to the show…if ever…would be Paul Monroe from the comics…

Oh the sadness! I feel so violated by the writers!! So much intensity for one episode – Hershel and Michonne’s capture, Daryl finding out about Carol, Hershel’s beheading, Judith (where’s Judith and what happened to her?), the prison is rendered useless, everyone is scattered. Oh the agony of it all; and now we have to wait till Feb 9th???

yeah, I really get your feeling…I think I even said those exact words to a few people…feeling violated by the writers…but after reading the comics, I get that the TV series was just getting back on track with the comics…but damn, I did not see this episode going in such a direction…the last 10 minutes, have got to be the most intense 10 minutes of TV I have ever seen…only the TV series ending of House comes close…and that was a much happier ending…but of course, House TV series was gone forever…this show continues…

I knew it was coming when he smiled at Rick for the last time, he knew he was going. Our last bit of hope for this world is gone! I screamed and cried along with Maggie and Beth (not something I would ordinarily do btw!)
My one thought was: did the Governor not know how to use the katana or was the blade dull? Michonne swings that thing and you KNOW it is going to take the head off anything in one fell swoop. I hated when he went back and kept chopping away at him!!
Woke up the house when I yelled “YES!!!” when Michonne finally killed that SOB!

Now that Hershel is gone, good ole Bob Stookey moves up a bit because of his medical training, that is if the group was still together! (not spoiling who I have heard was at filming last half of season, lots of clues as to what happens to team prison!)

having him smile, certainly eased the pain…but I really did not see it coming…as prior to this episode, I never read the comics…now, I have read about the comics…and even read several of them…

They really closed out the Governor’s character well…I am glad he is gone…but also, I think he made great TV while he lasted…

Your writers SUCK! Hershel didn’t deserve that kind of death, the Governor did. SO very tired of the, ” you love that character, so let’s kill them so you feel anger” attitude coming from these writers. Personally, beheading Hershel was the nail in the coffin. You have now lost one viewer. No, it won’t matter to your ratings, but it is the principle that matters most.

I am so upset they killed Hershel!!! Anybody but Hershel!!! He was the only reasonable thinking sole left in the group. He could talk anybody down and do what was right for the group. He held that group together. Now what? Why didn’t they kill off some of the new characters, no one would care. Oh well, what are they gonna do now with Hershel?

What I thought was ironic is carol killed Julie……however she indirectly saved tyreese life by training those girls to fight. They are even in my book.

Holy crap what a phenomenal episode! By far the best in the series so far. First off the Governors death was perfect. Mostly everyone got their hits in and I was happy that it was Lily who finished him off. The prison assault in the tv show was a perfect adaptation of the comic books attack. There was a lot of original things but the stuff that they threw in from the comic book absolutely made it for me. I can’t wait for the next half of the season! I have a horrible feeling though that the two little girls are going to have a similar storyline to Ben and Billy (the twins) in the comic if you know what I’m saying…the dissected rabbit reminds me a bit too much of the kids poking the cat corpse…

Holy shit I didn’t even think of it in that way but your right they could be like Ben and Billy. It was such a huge moment for Carl’s character to do what he did and it affected him for the rest of the series so it would be very important for the TV show to do something similar.

For sure! Also I love how much this season is following the comic book but also doing it’s own thing. It has become the most unique cross over.
Im really excited to see Carl’s evolution over the next half of the season. It’s looking like we are going to be getting Carl and Ricks story from after the prison which is exciting because that’s when Carl sort of becomes independent in the comics

What an amazing midseason finale!! God it was heart wrenching! I loved David Morrissey’s portrayal of the Governor and I loved Scott Wilson’s portrayal of Hershel and I will miss both of the characters so much. Episodes like this one are what make the Walking Dead the best show ever. After they went in such a different direction from the comics they brought it back around to make one of the closest adaptions I’ve seen since the Pilot episode. While I’m sad to see the character who I thought was the most interesting go (The Governor) and another whom I loved deeply (Hershel) I’m insanely excited to know that my favorite character from the comics (Abraham) will be showing up in the second half of the season. The Governor and Hershel’s deaths did major justice to both characters and while I’m sad to see them go I do feel like they both went in the right way! Congratulations to David Morrissey and Scott Wilson on their amazing contributions to the Walking Dead! They will be forever missed along with all of the other fallen characters (and departed actors) of this wonderful wonderful show!

Hershel was our grandfather ,so much wisdom. They should make a new Miracle On 34th Street. Hershel would make a Great Santa Claus ! Mr. Wilson, you were right. They made a mistake. It should have been Daryl . lol We will miss you. No more Walking Dead.

Glad they got the narrative more in parallel with the comic. The whole Andrea fiasco is in the rear-view. Great ballsy episode. Would have been easy to just leave it with the Gov and Tank (I love the M60- better ride than the Bradley IMO 🙂 ) at the fence as the cliffhanger. Thanks Gimple and K-dawg.

I HATE THE WAY YOU KILLED THE GOVERNOR. He deserved a lot more than that, especially the way he partially cut the head off of Hershel with Michionne’s sword and beating up Rick that much. Michionne could have just cut off the Governor’s arms and made him into one of her “pets” (the ones she kept with chains to camouflage her scent from the walkers). The Governor is one sick bas***d, he shouldn’t have gone off the hook that easy.

Why did The Governor kill Herschel and not Michonne, the dangerous expert sword fighter who killed his daughter and stabbed his eye? Didn’t he recognize her? What did Herschel even do that would make the governor kill him over Michonne? *sigh*. Still an awesome episode.

I stated somewhere below that I think he may have known that Hershel would be a bigger blow to Rick and the group. At that moment, his intent was to take that prison, not enact revenge on Michonne. After he got what he wanted with the prison, he could have had other plans for Michonne before taking her out. Just my thoughts.

I am so sad that Hershel died, but I did feel like his time was coming. This whole season all he has been doing is mentoring Rick. Every speech he gave Rick the closer I felt that he was going to die. Hershel has taught Rick everything he can. So now it is Rick’s turn to take charge once again. http://wp.me/p3XWcR-3u

Hope she dies soon, really soon. Not suited for acting, sorry, people may have lots of multiple talents but one this girl does not have is capacity for good and intense acting cenes. Worst character ever in TWD tv version. Never should have survived the escaping from Hersherl’s farm. She is a singer, not an actress. She almost ruined the great (but very sad) scene of her father beeing decapiteted with such an awful acting skills. I was “ohhh for god’s sake, take that bad yelling stupid bitch from the camera spot, she is ruining the entire amazing scene”. I even joked to my mother “just for now I hoped to be te Gov to be unable to see from the right eye!” for not capturing Miss Em Whatever in my vision field.

when they found judiths carrier, i would have been sad. but did anyone else see the straps undone? and there was no body.

my theory is that bleeding bob (having been shot) bled into her carrier as he picked her up.

but i felt bad for carl. after his mom, he was stone cold, and almost never sad. but to the woe of agony to find his little sister (the cause of his mothers death) mutilated (or at least we think so!) so when he cried, i kinda wanted to hug him.

and rick- well, rick always cries…..
