Skybound Announces Partnership with Writegirl

Skybound is super proud to announce our latest partnership. Later this year, we’ll be hosting a day long workshop with Writegirl covering all various forms of entertainment from film and television to gaming and comics. There’s more information to come but check out the press release below:

SKYBOUND ENTERTAINMENT PARTNERS WITH WRITEGIRL FOR INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL WORKSHOP

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 8, 2017): Multiplatform production company Skybound Entertainment has partnered with WriteGirl, the creative writing and mentoring organization that spotlights the power of girls, for a workshop tied to International Day of the Girl in October. The partnership comes through non-profit consulting company Lucid.

Skybound Entertainment will host members and volunteers of WriteGirl for a day of workshop programming, breakout sessions, and conversations with members of the Skybound staff, ranging across projects in film, television, digital and new media, interactive gaming, and comics.

WriteGirl holds monthly mentorship events, including February’s Grammy weekend event, where songwriters such as Louise Goffin and Lindy Robbins teamed up with WriteGirls to create lyrics for original songs. Coming in May, WriteGirl will hold the annual benefit “Lights, Camera, WriteGirl!” where celebrity actors will perform scenes and monologues written by WriteGirls mentees earlier in the day.

More information on the day-long workshop to follow. International Day of the Girl is October 11, 2017.
