Could this be Rick’s last issue?
Ive been thinking he was going to be assassinated for a while now….
Cool cover. And this one will be followed by a 5 week wait… those are always killer.
I could see Rick dying in #192 or #200 but… I hope not. Not just because I’d be sad but because it would feel… wasteful. And sure, there’s been juice in killing characters way before their time (Tyreese and Abraham!) but Rick is the comic’s richest, most fascinating character. He’s still changing and growing and I still feel there’s so much more to see with him. Of course, Kirkman has said he wouldn’t see out the whole run and I would love to see Carl take on the book one day but right now I think the book will be more interesting with Rick continuing to be at the centre.
Anyway, I can only see a free and fair election diffusing the violence so .I guess this is where we’re going. Why this hasn’t been mentioned (except obliquely I guess with Mercer’s comments about Pamela becoming a queen) but more extreme methods of resistance/suppression seem to be readily countenanced is odd to me. Governor Rick would be interesting. Interesting too if Pamela maintains the governorship but without the same support. Interesting as well if somebody else comes from left field and takes over. Michonne? Stephanie? Laura? No way Negan would although that would be hilarious.
Incidentally, after #181-186 having so few three word titles that for the first time since they started issue titles they had to invent a new one for the collection, it seems like this volume is all three-worders. Not sure if this is deliberate!

I think that Pamela’s army will not attack rick and his band of brothers(sisters) and everyone turns against Pamela. Rick then becomes the new leader of commonwealth and beacon of hope(which is exactly what this cover shows is happening)….That is until he gets assassinated!!!!(probably in or around 200th issue)
