THE WALKING DEAD issue #165 is out NOW! Will the Rick and Negan bromance continue? And holy moly, that ending! Read the issue and let us know what you thought down below. We’ll be awarding our favorite comment with a signed issue of THE WALKING DEAD #165!

PREVIOUSLY: Rick and Negan are trapped in Alexandria, surrounded by walkers. The only way they can escape is by working together. Meanwhile, Andrea and Eugene lead a team to steer the horde away, while Carl commands the newly arrived Hilltop refugees to join the fight and thin the herd. And still, the Saviors wait patiently to make their move.

Ten days after tv show Michonne tells Rick they are the ones that survive, Andrea takes one to the throat.
Part of me thinks this is another poisoned bolt situation

God I hope you are right. I mean, seriously… how does one get a chomp taken out of their neck and not notice until after the fact?
Perhaps she was grazed by a bullet, or something to that effect.
But now with the release of the cover for a future issue with Rick and Andrea kneeling with a gun, its almost like she or they are getting ready to off themselves.
Or it could be another classic Kirkman fake out.

I think it’s Eugenes knife that cut Andrea,it was so close in an earlier panel and he was tired and well we know Eugene:I would also say if you add the horse bucking and the dead pulling at them it’s a pretty assessment?

We had some clues that Rick’s bolt was not poisoned with walkers. There was a chance. But here it’s just a bite and we have not had any clues that somebody can use something that could create such wound. Plus it is clearly a bite. There’s no way around it. 🙁

What if this is a fakeout and Andrea doesn’t die, but in like issue 167 or something kirkman takes out a major character like Jesus or michonne and shocks everybody cause everyone was focused on Andrea. Then we would have Andrea back but kirkman doesn’t look like a pussy cause he took someone else out

They really need eugene and andrea sacrificed herself for him. Sure, she was a good shot but they even have an army now. She was not as important for the Alexandrians as eugene. Although, Rick and Carl will be devastated.

I don’t think she has a scar at all. It’s just usually the cross hatching that Charlie does sometimes. Plus, why would they spoil something like THIS on a cover, a week before an issue would reveal it soon?

Sadly this makes the cover for #167 a lot more poignant and really gives us a better idea of what might be happening 🙁

This has always been a story about taking back what was lost. Every person that has died, and all the countless lives that have yet to be lost, are pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of this story. Rick is the seminal thrust driving the construction of this new society, and he is going to need Eugene if they are ever going to be successful. As devastated as I am watching the death of one of my favorite characters, I take comfort knowing that one day things will be better. As unfair as this death is, and despite how shitty he is, Eugene is worth it. I wouldn’t be surprised if Eugene is the only main character to make it all the way to the last page of the series. As he gazes across the thriving society he helped revitalize, he fondly remembers the sacrifices of the ferocious Grimes family…

I’m not completely convinced it’s not a bullet wound.
But, on reflection, a bite seems more probable in which case… yow. It’s been so long since one of the really long-term cast members died — not since #100. Back then, there was a real problem that the book didn’t have enough characters we cared about who felt really established, beyond the pre-Alexandria group. Now we have Dwight, Eugene, Aaron, Negan, Jesus, Dante, Magna and many more. Andrea hasn’t felt at the heart of the book for quite a while and the book will still be engaging without he. But it’ll still be a huge death.
I rather suspect, if she is definitely dying, she’ll go out taking out the Saviours. Could be very interesting… and promises to be a highly memorable death.
I loved the development on the minor characters this issue. Vincent, Julia, Siddiq, Kelly, Connie… I really love the broad cast of TWD.
The Saviours stuff has been flagged on three previous cliffhangers and feels like it’s dragging now, even though I really like the characters. Mark is there too? Unless it’s another ironed-face guy. I know he was cut up about Amber and Rick said not to trust him before but I hope we get some explanation for that abrupt change.
And after fortnightly issues, we’ve got a 5 week wait. Ugh!

I agree… I kind of want to be done with the Saviors.
I would argue that Gabriel was a fairly major character. And lest we forget Rosita… one of the reasons this whole battle started.
While maybe not “main group” big, they were still big characters. I mean, Rosita was at least on level with Eugene. Maybe not as important, but at least as “main group-ish”.

      Reply
    • Epic A says:

You only think of issue 100 with the last main character death because of Glenn, and he appeared in issue 2. But we did have Rosita, who appeared 91 issues before her death. Gabriel was up to 97 issues. Honestly, I think of anyone who was part of the group before Alexandria as the main cast. People say “Atlanta group”, but we still have Maggie and Eugene too. I definitely think they should be added, so we should call them the “pre-Alexandrian” group.

      Reply
      • SkullFacedLittle says:

Rosita wasn’t even the major, most impactful death in the issue that she died and Gabriel had been around a long time but had featured prominently in only a handful of those issues. Glenn appeared in all but a handful of the first hundred issues; Rosita was only actually appeared in about 40-50 issues and often in a minor capacity. Gabriel appeared in fewer issues than Olivia and, again, it was often in a very minor role. Don’t get me wrong, I like both characters a lot but how long they’ve been around is only a small part of what makes a character’s death significant. I’d argue that Alpha’s death rocked the boat a lot more than Rosita’s (individually). Only Glenn’s death compares to Andrea in terms of *both* longevity *and* narrative prominence.
I agree we’ve reached the point where Eugene’s death would have as much impact now as Glenn’s did in #100. Andrea, Maggie, Carl and Rick certainly. If they stay (or return to) the centre of the comic for the next couple of years, Jesus, Negan, Sophia and even Aaron could. But we still don’t have a huge group on that level.
We do, however, have a lot more people we’ve come to care about in the manner of Tyreese and Abraham: great characters it would be gutting to lose.

So, Sidiq was the one who screwed Rosita. Not a surprise, to be honest.
I mean, it is not confirmed, but in the letter hacks Kirkman said that it is going to be later on. And if you re-read the part with Sidiq noticing that it’s a woman on the radio. That girl (I forgot her name, sorry) gave him such look like she was really pissed. I’m telling you, he was the one to mess with Rosita.

I just wanted to add that a few Letter Hacks ago, I got my letter printed (yay!) where I was numbering the possible fathers, with a short explanation.
My n°1 was Siddiq. All the others couldn’t or just wouldn’t (except if Jesus is bisexual but meh). I obviously didn’t get any confirmation by Kirkman.
So why would he print this letter anyway ? Because it’s relevant ?

          • sliusarek says:

He has also printed a question that brings this topic up in issue 165. It was intentional.
And who else could do it? Rosita prefers big guys like Abraham, Sidiq matches her sexual expectations.

  15. sliusarek says:

Not my favorite issue, to be honest. I don’t like battle chapters. I prefer something like 164 and 163. But still, a great issue.

Goddamn was that a well-written issue. From the first page, it’s set up that Eugene is going to die this issue. Starting out with Negan joking about how no one gets bit anymore, and then moving to Siddiq discovering the radio, making the most valuable information Eugene currently holds public information. And then there was that full page illustration of him, which had an air of finality about it. And then to pull the rug out from under us and have it be Andrea who gets bit? I haven’t been this surprised reading an issue since 100. And I don’t see how that could be anything but a bite. It looks more like a bite mark, and getting shot would be a lot more noticeable than getting bitten, especially in all of that action. This was a phenomenal issue, R.I.P. Andrea

This issue was great, one of the best in ages, I’m hoping that maybe Andrea wasn’t bitten and it was maybe a graze from a bullet. But Andrea’s death would definitely move the story forward in a good way (apart from possibly another Rick meltdown). I hope she has at least a peaceful death with Rick by her side and him maybe taking some advice from Negan about saying goodbye like he wishes he did with his wife.
The saviors story is also starting great, after several issues of slow build up and them waiting on the sidelines. I hope Heath, Dwight, and Laura are okay for now, and I can’t wait to see John die horribly at some point (hopefully by Negan). Although I have a feeling the saviours will kill at least 1 important character before their eventual defeat.
I also liked the development of the minor characters like Siddiq, Vincent, Kelly, and Connie. The radio being found by Siddiq and Annie was interesting as I’m eager to find out more about Ohio and Stephanie. I have a feeling that Siddiq was who got Rosita pregnant, as Kirkman confirmed we will find out who the father was soon.
I hope this isn’t too long, I’ve never written a comment here before, but after this awesome issue, I just had to.

Could be a bullet graze, could be a bite. Negan mentions they know the rules, but how much do they really know? Maybe if it is a bite Eugene will find a way to save her. That would be huge!

    Woah! What an ending.
    Having given it a 2nd read here’s my theory…
Andrea was bitten but not while saving Eugene, instead she’s been covering it up under that scarf for a while, it wasn’t until the scarf slipped that the bite was exposed, hence Andrea’s reaction when they saw it.
I could be wrong here, the blood would have soaked through the scarf after all. But surely you’d know if your neck had been bitten and there would be a lot more blood.
    This better be a quick 5 weeks…

Pretty sure is not a bite. I think Andrea was shot in the neck but didn’t notice it because of the adrenaline of the moment.

I think there shoukd be a (SPOILER) tag for comments so people would need to click “view spoiler” like RoamerAndLurkers.com

I’m thinking because #167 teased that the “inevitable” might potentially be avoided, this might be a fake-out. Seems kinda cheap, though, if that’s the case. But damn, do I love Andrea.

You’re thinking wrong. Maybe, it meant that Rick doesn’t have to shoot Andrea to save her from zombification. Like this is what is inevitable and can be potentially avoided.
Also, I think this is very interesing that Negan told Rick about his worst thing ever done and it was not giving his wife a mercy of death and burying here. Rick is in the same situation right now. And I am sure that this is the inevitable.
Cheap or not… I mean, I don’t know how to feel about HOW she got the wound. What was the point of Eugene becoming a hero all of a sudden? There was no need for him to be so close to the herd that he couldn’t get away (the horn is quite loud even on distance), there was no point at all. There were other characters and Eugene knows that he’s valuable. I really don’t understand that.
I wrote Kirkman about it. Hopefully, my question will be answered, because it doesn’t look like we are going to get an explanation of Eugene’s motive.
The whole moment was sort of cheap.
The issue was alright. I’m not a fan of battle chapters, so I didn’t really like it. I prefer something like #163 or #164. But again, it might be my mood. Like I was not really impressed with issues 162 and 161, but then when I re-read it as a whole Whisprerer War story arc, 6 issues in a row with good mood on board – I was happy even with the cliffhanger. So, I guess, that’s my thing about this issue.

Eugene is incredibly self-sacrificing. He constantly mentions not feeling like he measures up to the shoulders of giants like Rick, Andrea, Michonne, and the other survivors. He’s constantly told otherwise but he doesn’t really believe. Eugene pushes himself constantly to do more in order to convince himself he’s worthy of still being alive. Of course he’d play hero. Plus he’s running on like 4 hours of sleep altogether right now.

That describes Eugene perfectly. Also I think he probably had a lonely life before the zombie apoc. and now, like in video games, he has a chance to be the person he wants to be.
I wonder what will happen now that Siddiq found his radio, and is aware that Eugene has had contact with unknown others? It could get messy for him, don’t know how I feel about that.

Here’s how I see it: Eugene’s going to start sucking the shit out of Andrea’s possible bite mark and suck the poison out kind of like you would when a snake bites you. Even though there isn’t exactly a poison, he still going to do it cuz he may either be a kinky bastard, or he think it will work.

Altough, a lot of crazy stuff has happened. Eugene definitely feels guilty and he is a progressive guy, so if he was thinking about a possibility of this cure, he’d try it now.
But someone will have to die. I think, it may be a fake-out. Kirkman and crew are very straight-forward with saying that Andrea is doomed now. They’ve done lots of fake-outs covers before.
What if the cover for 167 and 166 must be understood in a mirrored-way. You know, on 166 Dwight fights the Savior (forgot his name) and he’s standing. On 167 Rick sits there almost ready to kill Andrea and give her mercy of normal dying. What if Dwight immediately dies at the begging of an issue? A possibility.

I don’t think so. Biting Dwight served a purpose. I see no reason he would bite Andrea. I guess in the confusion it’s possible he did but that would imply he would risk biting a walker and Eugene certainly wouldn’t risk that, I don’t think. And he looks just as shocked to see the bite on that last panel as anyone.

A lot of survivors still don’t like Saviors after years of terror from them, and may just start shooting at them. After all, Alexandria is full of weapons.

I have let my fantasy go wild for a moment and this is what I got. I wrote on Facebook, but I’d like to share it with you, guys:
you know, I believe that Negan did change and I have spoken about it lots of times.
But sometimes it is cool to have some fantasy on and this is what I’ve got by turning it on fully.
Negan loves playing with people. What if he didn’t change? What if on his way to get Alpha’s head he was close to the Saviors’s compound and told Sherry and guys to prepare the assault. I mean, Whisperers wouldn’t kill RIck and the gang. They are not strong enough even with this army of the dead. But if Whisperers weaken Alexandria, while Negan gets Rick’s trust. He got his trust now. You say, what’s the point? Negan could have killed Rick a long time ago. Buuuuut… what’s the point in killing him when no one is around?
I say, that Negan wants to perform another “introduction” by leading Rick into a great number of Saviors, then to gather around all the Alexandrians and brutally kill Rick in front of everyone. After all this, with Whisperers gone and Alexandrians (+ refugees from Hilltop!) broken by seeing their leader brutally finished off, NO ONE would cross Negan again.
And before killing him, Negan could say something cool referencing his talk with Rick in issue 164, something like: “You know, Rick, the worst thing I’ve ever done was to actually pick that Asian kid over you. Well, we are about to fucking change that.” wrakk, splaug, splakkk…
I think, that would be huge.
Altough, the old Negan would do this, but I still believe with all my heart that he did change while in prison. New Negan wouldn’t do such thing to Rick.
What do you think about my fantasy going wild?

    • Trooperkev19 says:

That would be pretty rad, I’ve thought about something like this happening too. Another lineup would be epic, and it would go along with Rick’s sort of Achilles heel of being too “civilized” as Negan said. Keeping Negan alive is definitely one of the biggest risks he’s ever taken. As awesome as this would be though I don’t see it happening because his redemption arc could essentially be over and I feel like he has a long journey ahead story wise. I think another interesting idea for Negan is to have Rick die saving Negan, and Maggie has to accept him because of Rick’s sacrifice. Then Negan goes on to help finish what Rick started and rebuild a new world.

I agree that Maggie is not going to be okay with seeing Negan running free, but I don’t think she’s bloodthirsty to kill him. Remember, she’s the one who agreed with Rick that Negan should be imprisoned because she thought that Glenn would be okay with that.

Epic, I guess, Maggie is not going to be crazy about Negan walking around, because she did say to Dante that she has some sort of peace in her mind now. But again, she agreed on keeping him in jail, not on giving him weapons, letting him walk around and etc. This might bring up some bad feelings to her mind.

          • Epic A says:

            @Sli (I guess… 😉 )
I guess it may, but she would need a pretty strong standpoint into killing him out of the blue, and for Revenge? Possibly. I feel like it may not happen, since she’ll be occupied with helping Jesus, Michonne, and Dante to help save Andrea, Eugene, Magna, and Yumiko. For all we know, while she may be helping them, he may already be dead or in a standpoint between Dwight and the Saviors if possible. Although I feel like Carl and his little group will be ones saving Dwight’s ass.

Neutral-Gray, yeah. Like I said, I do believe that Negan has changed and this is not the direction we are going. But if I was to choose how Rick eventually should die, this would my pick. He’s our main character and his death should be something more and meaningful than just a bite received in a crowd of zombies.

I love your fan fiction man, I loved it!
But I dont see it happening now, perhaps there could be a little gap in which that could happen, but it would be a huge twist in the comic, a complete change of the course of the comic, with Negan and the saviors now without Rick fucking around, yeah, sounds cool, but I agree with you, that time of Negan in prison wouldnt make any sense at all then, so I say no, but that would have been so rad man. Good thinking!

      • sliusarek says:

Leo, I mean, his in time in prison could have served as a “bastards don’t change” or something like that. But I do believe that if it was to happen, it should have been now and just now. Saviors are probably going to be eliminated in the next 10 issues. Even if Negan would be able to bring Rick into a trap later on, there would be no point, if he is all alone with the number of Alexandrians and Hilltopians around him.
Answering your question, yeah, I do think you are right. It’s the same thing that was between Shane and Rick or Douglas and Rick. If both have strong leadership attitude, there will be a conflict. Even if Negan was just to rule the Saviors, they would kill him in his sleep on the next day, if he doesn’t scare them even harder than before. That’s how he was ruling over them – with fear.
Altough, as we know, Negan is changed and I do think that he might do something like that to Sherry to gain Saviors back. And maybe even stopping the conflict. Like they don’t know that Negan is on Rick’s side, right? Negan makes it look like he’s with them and then when opportunity is at hands, Sherry’s getting killed in some very brutal way. I don’t know how it would be possible without Lucille around, tough.
And about why he would gain Rick’s trust, if he didn’t change and planned to kill him, it’s simply to make it easier for Negan to walk Rick into a trap or something like that, to play more with him. In #165 Rick has saved Negan, almost as an ally, in #164 he opened himself up to Negan and told something special. Imagine, how Rick would feel if he’d understand that all of it from Negan’s mouth was a lie? Broken even more to say the least.
But it’s just my “what if”. And what-ifs are usually just fictional. I want to believe that Negan has changed. This is just some cool stuff that comes into my head somewhy.
And thank you fr good words. 🙂

      I ask you this question:
Why does Negan have to gain Rick’s trust doing all that he is doing now? I dont see the point of it, just to be on Rick’s good side, and then what, Negan is a natural born leader and alpha male, he and Rick cant live together in the same place.

At first I thought that it was definitely a bite, but the more I think about it the less I believe it is. I think it could easily be a bullet wound from the sniper that were helping Andrea and Eugene out, they may have shot it at a walker, and the bullet could have missed and grazed the side of the neck, causing what looks like a bite mark. I mean, I could be very wrong but who knows, The Walking Dead is always full of surprises.

    1. walker scratch
    2. bullet graze
    3. walker bite
    4. hickey
    5. accidental cut
    6. old wound covered by her scarf
Options 1 and 3: come on, her reaction gave her away, if you are ever scratched or bit by a walker you would react completely different than she did, she reacted like when you react after a bar fight, when you are cut, or punched and never realized for the adrenaline, so no, she was not scratched or bitten.
Option 2: with all that mess going on, I mean, it is completely possible to receive a graze and do not realize until later because of the stress and adrenaline in your blood, I go with this one, it is Andrea, she is not going down with a walker bite, she has been since issue 3 and now gone with a bite, no way!
Option 4: LOL. Maybe a vampire did her that piece of hickey, man, LOL.
Option 5: similar to option 5, perhaps Eugene cut her with his knife in all that mess they are , but the cut doesnt look like a knife wound, looks more like a bullet wound.
Option 6: what if she was bitten before of the horde while leading them toward the ocean and she hid it under the scarf not to scare the others in that critical moment when they need all her support? Her reaction is more of surprise than of shock, so, maybe she was hiding that wound until getting the job done. I love this possible option , and makes sense.

Your reasons for debunking #1 and #3 are completely baseless. People react differently to different things. She literally just noticed it. What did you expect her to do, collapse on her knees and cry? Andrea is way too badass for that. A simple and scared “oh shit” matches her perfectly, I think.

I do like the idea of her having been bitten previously during the ocean herd and hiding it, however. It’s creative. It would make for a good twist that still has to end in the same tragic way but it would be a testament to Andrea’s resolve to have her hide until she’s done getting done what needs to be done and reacting because her scarf came undone, revealing it prematurely. That would be kinda awesome.

That is a great comment! I agree with you if thats the way they want to kill Andrea, after everything is done and the horde is far away, she reveals her wound to Rick and she kills herself, probably that would be in issue 167 when the horde is gone, I love that idea, a huge character death in exchange for the horde gone, good exchange, I can accept that thinking of getting Andrea killed. Good one!

        • leo biderman says:

I know everybody reacts different, there is no way around that my friend. I agree. ok. This is Andrea and she has been forever in the comic, she is one of the biggest characters since the beginning. ok. Even though she is the biggest badass in the world, it is impossible not to yell if someone bites you man, and her reaction is of surprise not of shock, so I think it is a bullet wound or graze and not a bite or scratch. what do you say? Lets play CSI Alexandria hahahahahaha.

I’d say being surrounded by the weight of potentially hundreds of walkers all clawing to get at you, one would be willing to forgive any small “knick” they might feel in the conflict of escaping. She might HAVE felt a bite or scratch but in the chaos there was nothing to do except push and survive or die. Only in that one moment of calm would she finally notice the full extent of it, realizing that pain she felt was a bite. Her luck didn’t hold out.
At least, that’s how I’d envision it.

A walker bite is deeper, messier, bloodier, and more hurtful than a bullet graze, so, think about it, it must be a bullet graze, badass Andrea cant go down with a freaking walker bite, no way, Kirkman, you better not kill her in that way man, I would hang you by your balls if you do it!

It looks like a bite mark though… The circular blood imprint and the impression of a tooth there. Can’t be a scratch/cut either or else we would see the laceration more clearly. If it was a bullet wound, wouldn’t the damage be much more evident; like when Carl got shot in the head? And if the bullet just grazed her, it wouldn’t bleed like that, the blood would drip straight down. I’m going with a bite for now. Issue #167’s cover would also make more sense now too.

I love The Walking Dead; it’s the most interesting story I’ve ever followed, and probably will be in my lifetime. I love and appreciate all the characters that have contributed to making it what it is today. But it’s like I’ve grown numb towards these huge deaths ever since issue #100. Like Rick said, everybody is already dead and just living on borrowed time. They’re all The Walking Dead. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very distraught over Andrea’s potential death but I think it’ll be good character development for EVERYONE. I hope they use this as a wake up call to remind themselves that they’re still not completely safe and they’re still always in danger… I guess from the time the Whisperers popped up it was already a reminder but this happening to Andrea just solidified it.

just an interesting thought… Next issue is issue 166, which will mark 100 issues since Dale died from being put down by Andrea after he was bitten. Could this be the throwback with Rick possibly putting her down? Sure, we see her on issue 167, but it could just be a little bit of a troll just like we saw Kal on issue 124 and Alpha on issue 157.

Haven’t read this issue yet but wanted to drop a comment while the discussion is hot because by the time I get to read it, you guys have moved on.
Just wanted to let you guys that dropped the spoiler in other areas of the site know that you are good at what you do & WHAT you are. I’ve responded accordingly & won’t go into that again so you others can go read what also applies to you (#167 cover reveal post), if you want to get off on that as well.
As for the respectable fans & people who like to discuss with me and/or read my comments, I haven’t decided quite yet if this will be the last post I comment on. I love discussions & this has been the best community for years but spoilers have taken their toll on my enjoyment. I feel forced to make a choice. I’ll come back to this particular post after I’ve read the issue next week but not sure where I’ll go from there. Won’t get email notifications on this post until I comment again. Just wanted you to know.

The sacredness of the show took a hit years ago. I figure when the comic issues lose it, it’s time for me to throw the towel in.
Appreciate the few of you who’ve made my rounds here worth it!

I tend to never post spoilers online and I do not like it when people do. But to be honest, it is your fault.
I mean, if you care about something to the point, when you hate seeing spoilers, then you should not go online before you read the issue or watch the episode.
I saw lots and lots of people complaining about AMC not doing anything to protect fans from seeing some leaked clips with Glenn’s and Abe’s death months before the episode aired… and somehow I’ve managed not to get spoiled at all! Just quit social media and other stuff for a day or two and that’s it. Problem solved.
Internet is like a highroad. If you don’t know the rules or you simply cannot follow them, or you don’t like them – just step out of your car and walk.

I don’t think that quitting Twitter or Facebook for a day before the comic releases is going to ruin your life. You have to learn the rules.

You’re right. It is my fault. I’m in the ever shrinking minority that believes in respect, especially for fellow fans that share a mutual passion. I never got used to the idea that I should withdraw from my passion due to the negative action of others. I won’t ever lower my standards to fit in, so what was I thinking? I’ll just see my way out.

There’s a warning on this thread that there are spoilers…. The internet doesn’t belong to just you… A great portion of the planet uses it and expecting no spoilers on a on a thread that clearly warns ‘SPOILER ALERT’ is pretty unrealistic. Just don’t go on the internet before you read or watch new content.

Spoiler Alert warnings pertain to the content of the post, not necessarily that sometime in the future someone might come back & drop a spoiler about something that was just released. I’m also talking about blatant disregard for other people, not just me increasing my chance of being exposed to a spoiler by looking at relevant content. To see a good example of this, check out the comment section of the “March to War” post on this site (WARNING: Do so after you’ve watched the movie “Logan”).
It’s not about me thinking that I won the internet but about me wishing that more people had respect for a fellow fan. I’ll never understand how that is too much to ask but it is obviously WAY too much to EVER expect!

          .
I saw the Spoiler on the March to War contest as well. That person purposely did that to be a fucking dick, I bet.
          .
I also agree with the “respect for a fan” thing. So many people just disregard the thought of “hey, I’m sure others haven’t read it yet, so I’ll give it some time”, it really sucks.
          .
An Instagram page that likes to boast about its “78 cast/crew that follow them” stated that “it’s not a SPOILER because it’s material that has RELEASED, so nothing stops you from buying the comic or reading it for FREE online”… like, what the fuck?

Okay, thinking about it… how easy could a roamer have been able to bite Andrea? Think about it: do a little experiment with yourself and someone else who’s willing to help you, and have them, or yourself, try to bite the neck of one another. Zombies usually also kind of grab out when it comes to them biting someone, so clearly Andrea would have known, or we would have seen it happen during the little fight with the roamers that she had. So, best bet it was probably a gunshot wound that she suffered from Magna or Yumiko, or, if possible, a scratch coming from a roamer.

I would agree with you if not for one thing: the number of people compared to the number of zombies. If it had been an entire army firing into the herd, I would think that its reasonable to think that Andrea could have been grazed by a bullet. But with just two people firing, the odds of a bullet hitting her and not any of the thousands of walkers are astronomical. Its still a possibility, though.

I really think Kirkman could be bluffing. If you look in the Letterhacks, he says that they have indeed killed Andrea, but if you look back to when Maggie hung herself, Kirkman did the exact same thing to bluff. I think there is really no way of knowing until the next issue!

      Option A:
Go to skybound shop and buy the volumes of The Walking Dead.
      Option B:
Go to Amazon or another online shop and buy the volumes of The Walking Dead. There is also comixology where you can get digital issues.
      Option C:
if you have a friend that reads the comics, ask them for their copy

A friend of mine, who was overwhelmed at the prospect of reading 165 back issues, started with 163, the 25 cent one. People have mentioned it is a good “on boarding” issue to start with. Once you get into reading ,monthly issues, you can go back and read the back issues without stressing about what happened before. Welcome to the WD world 🙂

Hi all what a great issue. Andrea will be a great loss but im hoping Eugene either sucks her neck to remove the infection or he takes out a bottle of magic solution he has invented to stop the infection and sprays it on her I cant see her dying after her saying We dont die. Negan is my favourite charactor hope he doesnt die but if he does I think Maggie will have a major input into this. The tv series is amazing too its great to see the comic come to life and the charactors have been matched perfectly to compliment the comic. Heres Negan is great too thankyou Robert and all the team…
