Both covers feature Rick Grimes dressed as Negan in artwork by Charlie Adlard colored by Dave Stewart. These are super limited and retailers need to get their ordered in by MONDAY so let the fine employees at your Local Comic Shop know NOW if you’re interested!
The Walking Dead #163 is the start of the new TWD storyline and the first post-Whisperer War issue. The book will be released on February 1st.

Doubtful, I think. I don’t know shit about prosthetics but from looking at the kind Rick has, it’s probably meant for more general grasping and small tasks. Not for holding something as heavy and awkward as a bat.
I love love LOVE this variant cover. This is really tempting me to go buy the physical copy.

Holy shit, it’s MAPP! Why do you need to ask from the comments section of Skybound? Can’t you just ask them directly, so that way they can hook you up with the info, just like they hooked you up with that “””Super Special Sneak Peak””” of the season premier of the show? 😉
LOL, the show is AMC not Skybound 😉 and I never got a sneak peek, that was an act… but I posted in the comments because it is the weekend, and fans can add their input and maybe they aren’t retailer variants and that info would be laid out here for others to see.

50$ on Ebay. Love the cover, but FUCK that! This is ridiculous.
stores can order 1 of the colour cover when they buy 200 of the regular cover. The B&W version requires a store to buy 500 copies. If you offer to buy 200 or 500 copies of the regular cover at 25¢ (in the USA), your local shop might get you the variant for 25¢ as well. If not, then of course the variant has to be more expensive to make up for all the unsold copies of the regular cover.
Intriguing. There have been hints at Rick becoming more like Negan but where he’s been left in the comics, especially given his muttered “what is it all for?”, he seems a long way off that transition, in spite of the events of Call to Arms. Hmm.
I lost money jumping right on #150… think I’ll wait the heat out on this one.
Maybe, just maybe, this means that Rick is gone, and Negan took over his role? Just a thought.

Just talked to my comic store. He quoted me $80 for the 200 copies and the variant issue. Cited shipping costs and his cost for the issue.
Yeah, it’s a massive “fuck you to the fans” because lots of comic shops are going nuts taxing excited fans.
He asked if I wanted to keep the 200 issues. My response was “I’m paying for them, right?”
I would’ve told him something like, “Na, I think I’ll donate them to my favorite comic shop over on [street name]” and then walked out the door.
I backed the walking dead all out war game on Kickstarter. So I figure when the tournament scene gets going, I’ll always bring copies with me and give them out to everyone that shows up
