The Whisperer War may have ended but The Walking Dead is still going strong. Final retailer orders for The Walking Dead #163 came in to Diamond Comic Distributors this week and pre-orders exceeded 730,000 copies! That’s a ton of comics! Thanks so much to all our retailers and fans!
This issue begins a brand new storyline “Conquered” and in celebration of Image Comics’ 25th anniversary will only cost 25 cents. After the ending of the Whisperer War, long time readers won’t want to miss this issue. It’s also a great jumping on point for new readers and fans of the show!
Hit up your favorite local comic shop and reserve your copy today. There are three covers available, two only for comic shops, so check them out below and talk to your retailer. The Walking Dead #163 will be available Wednesday, February 1st!

Should be the most ordered. I can’t be the only one who bought 200 copies to get the variant. Just need to figure out what to do with the extras. Definetly going to color one in

I backed the all out war minature game on Kickstarter, so I figure I’ll bring copies with me to tournaments and give them out to whoever shows up
There are 2 variants. One is more spendy then the other.
I wouldn’t trust local comic shop on this one. They told me they had one locked down and two days later that became no guarantee on price or availability. Definitely talk to a manager or something if your going that route. Luckily I saw Ronny haze’s video and ordered both online. I got an okay deal. I’m really curious to see the content of this issue. It’s worth it to me for the cover, but I moved from trades to individual issues on a whim because I loved the cover of 144 so much. Man that was a good issue. Ever since then I’ve been following the comics closely and waiting for the next BIG issue so I can finally add something really cool to my collection. 150 was great and I love my 150 variants, but we all know what makes an issue really special. Big deaths of a MAJOR character! And I’m talking bigger than Rosita, bigger than Ezekiel. I’m really hoping this is it but either way I’m glad I was able to get my hands on these variants because the cover is so damn cool. Alpha is my favorite villain in the series, and she died a bit too soon, so it will be great to see her promise finally come to fruition. I’m expecting no way out level terror, Rick being forced to forsake his community as a whole to protect the ones he loves. I hope Dwight brought some of those skin suits back from the war cause they’re going to need them, and the damn herd better get there next month. Either way, I’m glad the comic did so well. Can’t wait till February and I’ll be sure to pick up a few of those 25 cent issues for my friends who read the trades.
I heard $50 for the colored-in variant and $125 for the line drawing one. Yikes.
so happy to see that headline for the article. congratulations, that’s what you get for churning out such quality content. can’t wait to read the issue and see just how “conquered” our group has become. scary times ahead. but hasn’t it always been that way ???
I do hope my shop has ordered the variants they weren’t sure when I asked and when I asked to reserve they said I couldn’t.
This is my first comic I have found myslef completely taken over by. I started reading the trades in December from 19 and went back and got all of them and read them 3 times over and have brought whisper wars and have subscribed.
I am absolutely hooked I love this book and I hope the UK shipments are in par with the US as I never want to miss an issue
