Dammit, I cannot WAIT to read #138!!! This new direction for the series that began with #127 and the time leap has been superb!! Someone pointed out in another Walking Dead forum that the Whisperer’s belt buckle has a snake on it called (to quote him) an “Ouroboros, a serpent or snake eating itself. It symbolizes rebirth and cyclicivity. It was also a symbol of Hermeticism, which was prominent in the Protestant Reformation movement. This is perhaps the whisperers ‘reformation'” Hmmm???? Is this reaching too much????
So awesome that we get two issues this month. I started out as a binge reader (read Issues #1 through 96 in a few weeks back in 2012), so It is still like torture to wait from month-to-month for a new issue even after about 3 years of my being a monthly reader.
The cover of #139 with the boat on it is cool as shit- I have been wondering for a while when boats were going to be utilized by some group!! Maybe Michonne lives on a yacht called the S.S. Samurai with Ezekiel and their baby, LOL. Because Michonne sure is shit is NOT the leader of the Whisperers, I wish people would stop insinuating that!!
Rebirth…maybe its Davidson. The one Douglas exiled from Alexandria years ago…
I am also VERY excited to see Gregory’s demise, or imprisonment, or whatever fucked up thing is going to happen to him. Gregory is the WORST, I cannot stand him. But I don’t think Jesus is going to kill him quickly, it’s going to be a slow burn-type of thing that makes him suffer.
Normally the 3 or 4 panels shown are bleh and uninteresting, but these 3 are perfect! They show a little bit of whats going to happen without giving out too much information, all the while making me super excited to read it. More previews should be like this one. Bravo!

Maggie’s panel: Maggie is in the cover of issue 140, so unless issue 140 is a flashback, I believe she survives this event. Jesus is saying “You are a dead man”. I would assume Gregory is alive and awake up to that panel. Not sure of his condition by the end of the issue…
Lydia’s panel: probably after the leader shows up, and she is told she need to go back with him. Probably setting up Carl to “save” her…
