INVINCIBLE #140 is out Wednesday and, man, did that escalate quickly! Have you picked up the latest issue?! So much destruction! So much chaos! So many sunburns! So many cool covers (seriously, pick the both up)!

You know what to do below. Finish the comic first (natch) and tell us in a comment on this discussion post with what you thought of this bonkers issue! What do you think’s gonna happen next? What will the fallout be from all this? Seriously, how sunburned did these dude get? We’ll be rewarding our favorite comment with a super rad Invincible prize so get to commenting!

PREVIOUSLY: Alliances shift as the battle rages on… it’s the biggest, most brutal, monumental battle in INVINCIBLE history!

THIS MONTH: Thragg has done the unthinkable, again, and pushed Mark to his breaking point. Wait… there’s FOUR more issues after this one? How?!

Super mega, melty, butt-naked, epic fight! If Mark pulls through, he should be named Invinc…….nevermind.

I like Mark how I like my bacon. CRISPY! This issue was AMAZING! We finally got the conclusive fight between Mark & Thragg and it was a doozy! Ryan went beyond anything we’ve seen him do so far in this series. The art is truly tremendous. Not to mention the great colors and inks from Nathan and Mark! This issue was so bright and colorful I felt the need to wear sunglasses just to read it! On top of all of that though, my favorite part of this issue was the writing. Bravo Robert! When Mark & Thraggs communicators fried we had some of the best moments in this comic to follow. The twist that the two of them couldn’t communicate before Thraggs demise was so beautifully written it brought tears to my eyes. Mark continuously talking about what he’s fighting for and the lack of what Thragg has to fight for was bittersweet until the end. Thragg couldn’t even retain what was going on in Marks head and that made it all the more better. We’re nearing the end and I couldn’t be more excited! I’m eager to read the remaining four issues and ready to share my thoughts. Seriously though, amazing job to all of those involved in making this one of the greatest single issues in all of comics!

Comic series: how should the hero kill the villain?
Robert Kirkman: BITE HIM IN THE NECK.

These mofos just put Icarus to shame. I know Mark wanted to do the opposite of the hero thing, but god damn did he take it to the next level. Don’t fly too close to the Sun? Nah, I’ll fly my opponent right into it!

Okay here we go this is my thoughts on Invincible 140 !!!!!!!! this was a amazing issue. The only problems i have with it is they lost their skin and I don’t like how Invincible uses one of robot suits to help him fight but thraggs death was awesome so satisfying HAHAHA DIE DIE umm I mean umm let’s move on i can’t wait to see what happens next and YES my prayers were answered we get confirmation that Mark is going to meet his son and the cover was amazing I wasn’t able to get the variant cover because they didn’t have it in stock so I’m going to go cry in my pillow after this anyway it was cool that we got to see some insight into Thraggs psyche and not only that but invincibles monologue was amazing overall if you aren’t reading this book then your life isn’t complete and remember if you don’t fight on the sun your comic is not as great as this one but bring CONQUEST BACK JUST DO IT

Hey, we have new hero in town – InvinciCasserole. Epic fight but… battle with Conquest is still the most brutal in series.

Good, crazy idea with battle on the surface of the sun. It’s smells like real pulp sci-fi. Kirkman exceeds another frontier of superhero genre. How cool is that?
