For those of you who are going to be in the Bay Area for Image Expo, I wanted to tell you about a great event that's happening at the Cartoon Art Museum on Feb 23rd. That night will be the opening reception for the Image Comics: A 20th Anniversary Celebration exhibit. Featured guests will include our very own Robert Kirkman and Ryan Ottley as well as the amazing Fiona Staples with many more yet to be announced.

One of the coolest aspects of my job is dealing with Skybound’s foreign licensing. For those of you that don’t know, The Walking Dead is pretty popular. And that popularity isn’t restricted to just the US. Currently The Walking Dead is translated into more than 30 languages in over 50 territories all over the world.

As we started moving into our new offices, I raided our vaults and found a ton of our foreign books for my bookshelves.

Redesign Contest for INVINCIBLE

Project: Rooftop and Thwipster are bringing you a chance to redesign Robert Kirkman's INVINCIBLE. As the comic reaches issue 100 they decided a redress of the iconic Mark Grayson was in order, and who better to design his new outfit than a fan of the comic!

“I’m excited to see everyone’s take on Invincible,” Ottley explains. “He’s actually an extremely hard hero to draw and make look cool so a re-design should be pretty challenging. Sleek, simplistic, and iconic. Those are the hardest things to create in a character even though it might sound easy. Good luck everyone, make it awesome.”
