A Thanksgiving day message from our Editorial Director

Hi All-

This is Editorial Director Sina Grace here, wanting to wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Things I'm thankful for: Shawn Kirkham, our Director of Business Development.  We're already making huge plans for San Diego Comic-Con 2012, and he's been a beast in turning some of our wildest dreams to sweet reality. Everyone in the office is rolling up their sleeves and doing their best work ever to keep things running full-steam.  Just yesterday I saw J.J. Didde step out from his lofted office to help Sydney and Chad with some stuff for our website.  We're one big family.  I'd invite them to my Thanksgiving lunch if I wasn't spending breakfast with them.

I'm thankful to all of our artists involved on Skybound books: we've seen Jason Howard, Ryan Ottley, Rob Liefeld, Charlie Adlard, Cory Walker, and Cliff Rathburn produce some of the best artwork of their careers in 2011.  Our letterer Rus Wooton and army of colorists have been a true godsend.  I have to mention my breakout guys: Brandon Seifert and Lukas Ketner.  I expect their book, WITCH DOCTOR, to be on plenty of "best of" lists next month.

Most of all: I'm thankful to all of you readers who are supporting the floppies, the trades, and the digital releases.  You're paying my rent (and Robert's kids' tuition), and it's because of you all that Image Comics is an independent publisher on the verge of celebrating 20 years competing against The Big Two, and making the Skybound imprint one of Robert's most successful endeavors to date.

Looking forward to telling you about all of our goodies planned for 2012, but in the meantime: I need pie.

THE GOVERNOR GETS DELUXE TREATMENT
