What a Steal: Image Expo Thief of Thieves Variant Cover

With all the talk about Image Expo that’s been floating around the interwebs these past few days, I’m jealous that I haven’t been able to share anything super awesome with everyone.  Well, that’s about to change. 

As Sina stated before, everyone at Skybound is really pumped up for the release of Thief of Thieves #1 next week.  But I’m personally excited for what we have in store for Thief of Thieves fans at Image Expo. 

Exclusively at the Skybound booth (Booth #100) we’ll have a limited edition Image Expo variant for Thief of Thieves #1.  And here’s a peek at the cover!

Image Expo is Coming!

February is almost upon us. Though it’s the shortest month, it will be a busy month for Skybound, culminating in Image Expo at the month’s end! 

From February 24-February 26, Image will be holding this convention at the Oakland Convention Center to celebrate 20 years of creator-owned comic book publishing, and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it. This will be an amazing opportunity to attend panels and workshops with some of the biggest names in comics. Skybound’s own Robert Kirkman and Ryan Ottley will both be there, along with Image Partners  Erik Larsen, Todd McFarlane, Marc Silvestri and Jim Valentino and Founders Rob Liefeld and Whilce Portacio.

This is a new, on-going segment we'll be running only on the Skybound site: 5 Things to Know.  Every week, we'll be chatting with some of your favorite folks who are making your favorite comics.  To kick off, we asked SUPER DINOSAUR co-creator Jason Howard to throw down with us.  Read below, and I hope you get as much a kick out of this as I do!

CONTEST: NAME THAT SUPER DINOSAUR LETTERS COLUMN

Hi All,

I mentioned this in the last SUPER DINOSAUR lettercol, but I wanted to open it up to the world wide web before closing the contest completely.

We’re running a contest to name the letters column.  Like THE WALKING DEAD (Letter Hacks), INVINCIBLE (Invincipals), WITCH DOCTOR (Doctor’s Notes), we want SD to have a unique title that reflects the fun letters you all write in.

Los Muertos Vivientes

One of the coolest aspects of my job is dealing with Skybound’s foreign licensing.  For those of you that don’t know, The Walking Dead is pretty popular. And that popularity isn’t restricted to just the US.  Currently The Walking Dead is translated into more than 30 languages in over 50 territories all over the world. 

As we started moving into our new offices, I raided our vaults and found a ton of our foreign books for my bookshelves.
