Greetings, world wide web!
It's a not particularly well-kept secret that I run our aesthetically appealing @SkyboundEnt Instagram account. Given that comics are a visual medium, I always have something to be 'gramming!
Now as a special treat that you didn't know you wanted, here is my photographic review of fall/winter 2013 at Skybound! Sure, this would have been more appropriate as 2013 came to a close, but we're doing it two weeks after the New Year because Instagram is about being unique and I am nothing if not hip*.
My first week at Skybound was amazing! For one, there were cupcakes. For two, we were on the cusp of ALL OUT WAR. And for three, cupcakes.
The very real threat of Lucille is what kept me working hard at the office all throughout September.
The Walking Dead television show's October premiere! Okay, there are a couple of perks to this job... DON'T HATE. You know the purpose of social media is to make people jealous.
But let's get real for a moment. Seeing the cast and the crew all together and really taking in just how many people were a part of bringing The Walking Dead to life was unforgetable.
My first ever New York Comic Con! The crowds were intense and the pizza usually cold by the time it got back to the booth, but it was all worth it for the brief and awesome moments of connection with real fans. There's nothing as cool as seeing someone's eyes light up when they recogize your Viltrum Empire shirt. NOTHING!
Telltale shatters hearts, but also makes dreams come true. Season 2 started strong in 2013, and I can't wait to see what 2014 holds for The Walking Dead video games!
Late 2013 saw the launch of two exciting new Skybound titles: DEAD BODY ROAD (capitalization is optional, but highly recommended) and Manifest Destiny! If you haven't checked them out already, do yourself a favor and start on these right away! Be hip and move before it's cool!
Skybound didn't want to kill Santa Claus, so I bravely took the helm in my red Subaru (basically a sleigh) and made many deliveries. The hot Black Friday item? Our Negan action figures!
I hope you enjoyed my pictorial representation of my time at Skybound thus far. For continual updates and occasional selfies, follows us @SkyboundEnt.
We also give things away on it... not that I'm bribing you or anything, I'm just saying...
*Lizzy's hipness is extremely questionable.
