Thanks for replying Shawn. I personally as a reader would love the 'unnamed' variants released through the Skybound store at a reasonable price, or through Diamond. I'm a reader and a fan so i gobbled up all the variants, with the exception of what many are charging at 200.00 or more for the 1:200 variant. Thanks again Shawn and keep up the great work Skybound.
P.S would love to see some Thief of Thieves variants (besides the multiple printings!) or exclusives added to your menu.
Jamal

Can't we all get a long and just enjoy #100?!
Hopefully the watch and tshirt are available outside the package eventually.

Hey Everyone,

I really appreciate the dialog, well except for the trolls, but you can't escape them. Maybe we should come up with a different name for TWD trolls. Come up with some good names and I'll give the person who came up with the best name a free t-shirt.

It's the holiday and I need to get my bbq on, so I'm not going to be able to comment on every reply, but I'll try my best.

@Adam - I can tell you this, no one is abandoning the fans of the comic series. I started out as a fan. I can remember picking up issue 1 at Hi De Ho Comics in Santa Monica. Everything we do is geared towards making our current fans happy as well as creating new ones. Ultimately, our goal is to put out a great comic book every month, and I think we're doing that. Also, I'm not sure if cutting up comics for a coupon is the best idea. o_O

@Amado - The watch and the Lucille shirt will both be at SDCC. If we have leftovers, then they'll definitely be on the shop. The signed print and the box are limited to this box set only. The reason there's only 100 is in honor of issue #100.

@Crucial - Troll much??

@DrWinston - Very true, it's all about the story. That's what's kept us all around since 2003.

@Dan - lol

@Harriett - Issue 100 is longer, 30 pages of story. Sorry, but no color issues in the future. No one is slapping anybody.

@Alex - I agree, let's talk about the lead up to the 100th issue a little more. What do you guys think is going to happen? We're only a week away.

@Tommy - Thanks for understanding. And don't forget to check out the list of stores that are participating in either midnight release parties or day of events. Should be fun!

@Jamal - Sadly I don't think we'll be selling those variants through the shop. Thanks for the support! Glad you're liking Thief of Thieves. It's one of my favorites. There's some cool stuff coming up for it.

@Dave - The watch and shirt will be available at SDCC and if we have some left over, they'll be in the shop after con. Also, you might want to follow Skybound on Facebook and Twitter during SDCC, we may have some fun things planned for those of you who can't make it out there to buy the exclusives. ;)

As in maybe some of those nice Hardcover Compendiums :)
Seriously hope they dont sell all 900 at SDCC, and I don't really want to pay some asshole $300 on ebay for one. I'd pay more than $100 for a signed copy but not to some douche that just wants to make an extra $200.

trollers...walkers...trollers...walkers

Hoping to get one of these, and also hope to scoop a Michonne figure or 2 if you guys tweet a mini release of those.

Trolls = Lame brains or TROLLBIES!!!!

I don't particularly mind about colour or not. I was just using it as an example of how the creators could take the issue 100 opportunity to try something new creatively instead of churning out the same bland collectables over and over again. I've stuck with TWD for 100 issues and I'm not about to drop it, but I'd like to see some celebration that readers and poor people can get in on. It feels really elitist at the minute, an impression only added to when people like Alex start talking about 'true fans'.

As for the extra few pages of story, I didn't know about that - cool.

July 5, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterHarriet

@Dave - That's a good start.

@Jamal - The winners were posted or at least notified.

@Dan - Getting closer.

@Jeff - Maaaaaaybe. ;)

@element & storm - I like those.

@Harriet - What "bland" collectibles are we churning out? I feel that there's a ton of cheaper items and people can purchase to help celebrate The Walking Dead, and there's more to come. But I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Shawn question. Maybe you know, maybe you don't. If this is a box set for issue #100. Why are some covers missing? I'd have no problem with the price if it was a complete box set. Then again if it was complete I think the price would be even higher as the 1:200 is going for an easy $250 and people are asking $150 on ebay for the SDCC cover. Maybe its just me but I think someone missed the mark on this one. If there are only 100 and it was a true limited collectors item and box set it would include everything, no one they felt like putting in.

July 5, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterJeff

This should include ALL the covers.

I think it's adorable that 75% of these posts are "kiss-ass" after Shawn's replies.
Stand up for yourselves. Speak your mind and don't back down. WE are the ones making The Walking Dead so popular. Essentially, WE are the ones paying THEIR rent and car payments every month.
Maybe I'm just still pissed at the whole Marvel NOW! B.S. but I doubt the industry would be making us pay $3.99 per issue (and I am NOT saying that TWD price of $2.99 isn't fair because it is and it's the best book on the shelves and has been since #1) if more of us would speak up about the price jacking and how poorly we feel we're being treated as a consumer.
Maybe I'm just rambling. Maybe I'm just venting. But we all know that, after SDCC, there will be no extra TWD merch in stock for us to buy that isn't from some nerd on Ebay at an outrageous price. And the obsticle course TWD #100 issue is going to be nearly impossible to find at a reasonable price.
I really don't mean to sound like such a jerk but I really want one of those Michonne figures hanging on my wall and I know I'm going to have to pay through my eyes to get one.
Supply and Demand sucks in this industry. Maybe I'll just sell my Thief of Thieves issues 1-3 for the chance at a Michonne figure.
Anyone wanna trade a Michonne SDCC figure Or the TWD obsticle course cover for ToT, 1st print, #'s 1-3?

July 5, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterAdam

@Jeff and Fishtaco - The other covers are "exclusives" and not something that we can sell on our website. Sorry guys.

@Adam - Don't get me started on Marvel NOW! either!! As for the SDCC exclusives, stay tuned. ;)

July 5, 2012 | Registered CommenterShawn

Aww I worked hard on mine:(

July 5, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterDave

Shawn....I hope these exclusives aren't going to be priced like this box set!
