TAMPA - Many of us enjoyed the haunting that came with Halloween, but is there such a thing as too much gore?

A new toy series pushing blood and guts out of zombies.

"You take their heads off,” explained toy maker Todd McFarlane. “You can take they're bodies apart … Oh my God, look at that, you can even take the guts apart.”

It's clear toys like that eave little to the imagination when it comes to gore, guts and grime. The scary figures are based on the comic-series-turned-popular-TV-show “The Walking Dead.” The ratings are explosive and, well, so are the toys.

"This one is actually kind of cool,” McFarlane said. “You pull this lever down in the back and you put his head together, and if you push it, poof, his head explodes. Like what little kid doesn't like to have exploding head toys, right? If I was seven or I was 17, I’d want that one right there, boom.”
