LOS ANGELES, CA (March 8, 2017): Multiplatform production company Skybound Entertainment has partnered with WriteGirl, the creative writing and mentoring organization that spotlights the power of girls, for a workshop tied to International Day of the Girl in October. The partnership comes through non-profit consulting company Lucid.

Skybound Entertainment will host members and volunteers of WriteGirl for a day of workshop programming, breakout sessions, and conversations with members of the Skybound staff, ranging across projects in film, television, digital and new media, interactive gaming, and comics.

WriteGirl holds monthly mentorship events, including February’s Grammy weekend event, where songwriters such as Louise Goffin and Lindy Robbins teamed up with WriteGirls to create lyrics for original songs. Coming in May, WriteGirl will hold the annual benefit “Lights, Camera, WriteGirl!” where celebrity actors will perform scenes and monologues written by WriteGirls mentees earlier in the day.
