Ok, so there I was at free comic book day with a friend who talked me into going. I was a big Image fan in the early 90s and I have a pretty fair selection of the early works. Unfortunately Image had great artwork, slim stories and a terrible publishing schedule. But while standing in line to see what exactly was "free" I glanced at an Invincible Comic (#96 I think) and I was intrigued. I picked it up and read and was hooked. Image has hooked me before with Supreme but failed when the story and artwork fell apart. I would do my homework this time around. After reading a few more older titles I must say that I have started to put together the complete run and have subscribed to the Invincible Universe. Cyberforce, Wetworks, Wildcats, The Savage Dragon, Freak Force, Spawn, Youngblood and yes, Supreme all failed to keep my interest but Invincible has only gotten better. Here is what a superhero should look like, experience, succeed and yes, even fail at as the story keeps the reader guessing until the next issue. I love a good alternate universe story as I have found the evil twins to be an enjoyable "what-if".

Thank you Invincible Crew for the great work that you do - you have made me a fanboy once again and it feels good to be back,

Excelsior!
